Oh my goodness. I REALLY enjoyed this. I am already looking forward to the next one! You know what’s funny is that the ghost leviathan doesn’t bother me near as much as the reaper. I can toodle around all day long in the lost river and not have a care. But I hear ONE reaper scream, and I’m SCRAMBLING. I think I may have to build down there just to help desensitize myself to them.

Hey do you realize when you say he will follow you in the safe shallows if you agro him at 6:15 he was above you.... you can see his tail and jaws right after you said that. Lol top left corner

This is a fun series you’re doing! My favorite Biome is the NW Blood Kelp Zone. Looking forward to you talking at length about that region! My favorite thing to do there is breed a ton of Ampeels and Crabsquid to populate the area with some more fauna. Be sure to include the iconic PDA voice line about the region! I was disappointed not to hear the other famous one it in your last Dunes video.

One I wish was in Subnautica was a cloaking module for your Seamoth, which would be used when parking it somewhere. It would be so useful to make your Seamoth invisible to the more hostile creatures when your inside wrecks or gathering resources

I agree. I can’t count the times I’ve been wreck diving and am scrambling back to my seamoth to get some air only to come out and a Amo eel has destroyed it or something!
@unicorntomboy9736Ай бұрын
@@CariReneeEdwards Hopefully it might be a thing in Subnautica 2 For balancing reasons, it would only function when your Seamoth is stationary, otherwise it would be way too game-breaking

@@unicorntomboy9736 I agree. I think there is a PC Mode for it. A gamer named Anthomnia has used it on his sun.

Something I read, a year or two ago, is that ore spawning locations are semi-randomised-- in that there are fixed locations ores can spawn, and on different loads (either loading a save, or loading an area if you've been far enough away and come back) the game will spawn ore in to one of those possible locations. But resources are, so I've read, finite, so you can eventually use up everything in the world, but this is why you'll think you've tapped out an area, only to come back and find a "new" piece of ore. It's not new, it was just in a spot you didn't notice before and has now switched to a spot where it's more easily visible.

In my latest hardcore LP of this game, I decided to build my main base in the crash zone just to torture myself. Thankfully the reapers have become more of a nuisance than a threat now. There’s a couple grassy plateaus in the region that make for a scenic base local - even has access to table coral, a pleasant surprise! Keep an eye out for gasopods, they hang out in the area I’m referring to.

you could try a video where your just surviving off nothing but a cyclops and having a prawn suit or seamoth as your escape vehicle if your cyclops blows up and you can make ion batteries too
@koffinrottАй бұрын
I know you chose to go with nuclear power, but in the future, you can sustainably run a base off of blood oil. I grew some blood kelp and rarely have to swap in new oil sacks, even with a scanner room running I can usually get an hour of play in before I'm down to one oil sack.

the one thing i noticed is how much more aggressive reapers are in the crashzone compared to the dunes .. its wild

Hadn’t thought of it before but there must be reaper eggs right?

Fine you convinced me that going into the dunes wasn't that bad. But there's no way I'm heading into the crash zone.

@@GranddaddyGamer Well you did it you madman. For the first time I took my seamoth into the crashzone looking for cyclops engine parts instead of gently walking on the edge holding peepers in hand and praying for the bad reaper not to eat me. That perimeter defense system is the best thing ever.

Quick question: Are there any way to farm stalker teeth? I tried the grav trap and metal pieces but the stalker just drag it away. And whats the point of exploe crash zone and the dune?
@CariReneeEdwardsАй бұрын
Watch where they take the metal that they play with. If you can find the pile, look around there. They should be in the area. Also, follow them around while they are picking up pieces of metal. You can also hear a little chiming noise when they drop one. Oh.. another tip I have is when you are farming their metal pile for teeth, keep a full supply of fish on hand and feed them when they get near you. Just hold out a fish. They will take it and ignore you for awhile. 😊
