My favorite 2024 was crewing. #1 Bigfoot. #2 The Bear. #3 Pinhoti 100. All runners finished! It’s more fun for us to help others. My races not as good - timed out at Cruel Jewel and tore my ACL and Meniscus at Badger 100. Strengthening and Learning to run on a weak knee is a new goal for 2025.

Looking to add at least 1 more loop to my next backyard. Hit 5 last time, need to get some more miles under my legs but more importantly figure out the nutrition side
@HarveyandKellyАй бұрын
Nutrition is key! Also if the course has elevation be sure to get in some hill work. Even uphill hiking is great!

Another amazing episode. Loved the insights on this. I especially appreciated thoughts of having small goals and being private about bigger goals. The ending as always - too funny 🤣

My biggest goal for the next year is to run Gerês Extreme 90K from Carlos Sá. This year I helped 3 friends running this race and next year I would like to complete it.

Thanks for the insights, Harvey! You're truly inspiring. I ran my first backyard ultra this year, and I plan to PR with at least 15 loops in 2025. Good luck to both of you. I'll be rooting for you. Greetings from 🇸🇰✌️ 🇸🇰

For the first time ever I set goals more than a year out and then set smaller goals to get there. I’m putting myself out there with a scary (to me) goal of winning a particular 200 mile race in spring 2026. Sounds silly to me now, but I find the best goals for me are ones that at the moment I set them, I don’t think or don’t know if I can achieve them.

Great videos! I appreciate you may be wary as it doesn't work for everyone. But I was wondering if you'd consider doing a video on how Harvey maintains his run streak. For example, what does Harvey do if he gets sick etc. I presume he just goes out for a mile but it would be cool to hear about it. Thanks

The outtakes more than anything else are what makes me want to try a backyard ultra. I've been running since the 1970s, I remember the start of the fun run movement, but the level of fun that those events generated has disappointed me somewhat. Now at 67 I'm looking into this new phenomenon quite seriously! I've discovered an annual event that takes place just 10 miles from where I live.

Thanks for the tips. I did my first BYU yesterday and tapped out after 70 miles or 17 laps! My quads were completely destroyed, will be training lots more hills in the future and practice running fast downhill.
