An inspiring list. I'd recommend Harvey & Kelly to visit ndia and run "The Border 100" in the Thar desert in the state of Rajasthan.

I really enjoy these videos. I would like to know if you changed your sneakers after going through the water? I can't imagine continuing to run in wet socks and shoes.
@rennleitung_72 ай бұрын
@GreenVegan816 I tested three of my pairs and weighed them dry, straight out of the water and after 500m running. Funny result, the cheapest dried quickest. But even after 15m swimming, you don't notice they are wet after 1k running.
@GreenVegan8162 ай бұрын
@@rennleitung_7 Really! I always wondered about it. Thank you!

Answering for Harvey…..he did. He had shoes ready to change into at Green Gate aid station after the river crossing. Like mentioned by another commenter, you can run in wet shoes and eventually you kind of forget they’re wet but mentally it’s super refreshing to put on a pair of dry ones 👍
@GreenVegan816Ай бұрын
@@HarveyandKelly I think mentally I would definitely need a new pair. 😀

What was the strategy with aid stations? Also, any thoughts from the crew, what was their experience like?
@HarveyandKelly2 ай бұрын
I (Kelly) can definitely answer the crew questions. Our experience as crew was unbelievably positive. It is a tough race to crew. There is a lot of areas you are parking and walking to access your runner so we needed to make sure we had a way to transport our gear/bags/coolers etc. If you’re crewing a faster runner you will need two crew vehicles because making it from aid station to aid station with one vehicle could be very challenging.
@kalleleman2 ай бұрын
Was it hard to anticipate Harvey's needs? Sounds stressful to make sure you're at the right place in time. You obviously did a great job! The runners shouldn't get all of the praise 😊

What’s your most common mantra? Do you ever count steps? And, did you retire from teaching? By the way, you’re amazing!! And inspiring!!!!

Great job! And always with a smile 😊 What are some differences between wser and some other races you've done? What kind of mentality did you have going in, and did it change throughout? With badwater coming up what will you do for recovery? You mentioned a few things already 😊

Yesss Harvey! 🎉🎉🎉 I discovered you earlier this year on Instagram when you were training for Barkley. I’m a 30y/o that’s been running for two years. Previous to that, I hated running but I found a spark and have been following it since. I’ve done several half marathons and it’s my dream to do an ultra someday. You & Courtney are my running inspirations. You both exude positivity and give me energy to keep getting better in hopes to line up along side you someday. Love following your journey - keep crushing it!
