If you have to use adaptors thats on you. The Q products are designed to use as a system. Meaning you need to use all Q stuff only. Sorry if you can't afford it but if you want perfection you gotta pay. PEROID. Otherwise you come off like a cry baby using inferior parts.

The only Q rifle I own is an SBR Mini-Fix and it’s incredibly accurate considering its length. I have the kick stand bipod and love it. I’m currently running a red dot but I’m about to put a Kahles LVPO on it. The best trigger in the world ? Maybe not, but I really like it. Is it worth 3K? Well, I’m buying another.

Are you using a taper adapter for your silencer? Because if you’re not using a silencer made for that tapered barrel you won’t get any reliable accuracy.

Pretty, expensive guns… that dude was arguing with me too on some other video about the hb. Quoting “balanced bolt catch” and how that’s better for full auto. I didn’t know that was a thing for semi’s… I dunno. I get what they did. New name, well letter. But it’s a flashy brand. That’s their deal. Man when 4-500$ rigs group better than 34-3500$ ones… meh.

Does your buddy who bought it and spin barrels make any that are available to purchase? I've seen some wild groups with my Fix in 308 just going up and down in bullet weight. I have the 6.5 and 8.6 barrels but haven't swapped over to them yet...

What area yall out of. I’ve been wanting to see in a fix in action on a hunt. Like a real hunt not a safari walk up shoot buffalo cause I think being that light every twitch you make after stalking 2 miles in the swamp can make or break it.

Oh hell yea little bit of a drive from Summerville SC. If y’all ever come out to east coast our family plantation we have about 3k of property but me and dad got a new hunt lease on another 3k in latta SC. I’ve met one person with a fix but he’s scared to scratch it on a hunt.

I got 1700 rounds of 6gt in my mpa barrel. Mike sexton and I both about .1 groups 5 shots after all year of match and load development and it shoots any kind of bullet weight velocity I can honestly say I love MPA for rifles. Q just hasn’t impressed me. Even though it’s lightweight and blah blah blah. 3200 dollars compared to my Christensen MPR in 300 win mag I haven’t had a proboem yet with that either. I look at Q like super car owners pay 1 million for a car to get gapped by a Honda at t2k

Hey brother - I’ve had my Fix for 5 years and have shot out the OG Bart barrel on it. +/- 2700 rounds through kt. Love the thing. I have a few proof barrels for it and i currently have a steel/med Palma on it that loves. - super curious who your buddy works for and how he fit the barrels? - seen some cool things people come up with for them! Thanks!

I got mine when they offered the Fix in 22 inch Bartlein or Proof CF stock. My bartlein 22 inch gun shoots as advertised and better with handholds but that's crazy.. 3200 bucks for a chat session lol I wonder who is manufacturing their barrels now.

Im being told it’s green mountain. 😂 I could be wrong but that would mean they switched from a $500 dollar barrel to a $80 barrel and didn’t lower the price to my knowledge😂

I have several groups on my Instagram where it’s under 1MOA with both my 16” .308 bartlein or my 22” 6.5 Proof. I’ve always had good experiences with their customer service too and I’m a nobody so it bums me out you’re struggling so much with yours. I love mine. I’ve taken a couple bears, a ram, and a few deer and hogs with it. Sure, that doesn’t speak for precision, but all the other features make it useful in that role. But I’ve still had precision with mine. Sorry man. =\

I wish you actually showed us the groups. Did you try multiple optics to rule that out? I’m not a q fan at all and would never own one but there wasn’t any actual evidence of the testing done and I think that’s a little unfair. They also offered to re barrel and shoot groups to send you and you declined. I wonder what those groups would have been

I have the groups from the last video and I have the footage from this one I’ll make a reel with. We switched optics multiple times. 2 arkens, nightforce and mk5hd. If you look at the last video you can see what we did testing wise. We did send it to be rebarreled and it came back not shooting that’s this whole video. I had a problem, I gave it to them to fix and they didn’t fix it. And based on the comments it looks like I’m not alone.

I had a bergara rifle that I was very frustrated with a 6 moa shooting. Seemed the barrel was bending upwards with each shot, Tried multiple people and 2 different scopes, all did the same thing While it was difficult to get them to take it, bergara did rebarre it, and while they claimed in was .5 moa gun now, the ammo I have used is atleast consistently 1.5 or under with 10 rd groups, I’d say some is me, some is larger sample sizes which is the real way to judge a gun, but I’m happy with it now and that was a 900 dollar gun The Q that is some trash. I get the names the fix and the trash panda now

You lost me at Q customer service was great. Suppressor welds that look like a failed welding test at vo-tech, and the customer service is that's the customers problem, the customer is wrong, stupid, and the rest is profanities. There's so much out there, no one has to lower themselves buying Q.

Very similar experience to you. In my experience, it is a 2-3 MOA gun with match ammo. Your comment that "this gun makes me feel like a bad shooter" is exactly how I feel whenever shooting for groups with it.

I see the Fix as a hunting rifle and not a precision rifle. I haven’t had issues with mine in .308. Shoots sub MOA for me. Don’t think I’ve ever shot better than .75 though. Feel like for a precision rifle it needs to be less than .5 consistently.

The best outcome from this would be Q just changing their barrel supplier. Even if it adds another $200-300 to the price, it’s already a premium product. A light weight 16” with a folder that shoots like a laser would be worth it

I have a q fix in 6.5 with the 22” barrel. It shoots lights out 0.5” moa. I also have a 16” barrel that I’m wanting to use for hunting this fall. I hope my experience with that barrel is better than yours. Thanks for being upfront about everything man you just don’t see that very often I really appreciate it

I dont know. It seems like you are expecting a field rifle to be a bench rifle. Never in my life have I ever seen or heard about anyone showing up to a PRS or FClass match with a Q Fix. Even Q told you the best it would do was an inch, why would you expect better than that? I dont see what the issue is here other than you think its too expensive.

@@L0NGRNGE lol no I don’t expect a 16” 6.5 to be bench or f-class but it should should at least as good as guns that cost 1/2 as much. They didn’t say what their accuracy standard exactly was, and I imagine don’t on purpose, but they said they shipped me a barrel that was in that standard, when I expressed what it was doing they tried to buy it back or replace it again. So clearly it wasn’t in standard. Expensive is fine. Just be worth it lol

@@possum__puncher I mean I get what you are saying, but the cost part is a whole other conversation. Performance wise, it's an inch gun. Just like every other factory gun out there. They sent you the gun back shooting an inch so seems to me that's what they define as good. To me, and sounds like you too, an inch won't cut it. Thus a Q fix should have been avoided in the first place. It's a factory field rifle w/nice fit and finish so the price is elevated. I dont think you will find a half-inch and certainly not a quarter inch gun for less than $5K. I heard you say you have some factory guns that print .25" all day, and I just dont believe that. Your buddy shooting x47 may very well have one, but he aint shooting factory ammo and its probably a custom rifle (I dont know anyone who chambers 6x47 in a factory gun and zero people make ammo for it). 6x47 is what I shoot, and it will print dots, not blobs, all day, but it is a $12K gun all-in.

Probably the most astute comment on here, although if I’m being honest I can see both sides of the argument. Ultimately they could not get the stated accuracy from the gun and for its price it should be able to at least do that, however your probably right @L0NGRNGE, even that would not been sufficient. I think the cost/result was just never going to be there and I think it worked out best for both parties.

I haven't had good luck with hornady 140 eldm or match. Tried federal gold medal and it's much better group wise and standard deviation wise
