I can concur with the accuracy. My noveske shoots gold medal 77smk 1/2 moa with a 1-6 razor.

What Springco spring are you running? And you said it’s the Noveske gas system? No adjustable gas block?

What grain weight are you shooting with that freedom munitions? That stuff is not given enough credit! Our departments SWAT team had a few thousand rounds we used as training ammo and it was great!

My icon is a 5 shot group i shot some years ago with my Noveske SPR measuring 0.4", which isn't unusual for that rifle set up. I was shooting factory 77 grain OTM's, not handloads. I bought the complete upper from Rainier Arms quite a few years ago. It's a Gen 3 billet paired with a Gen 3 billet lower build and the fitment is second to none. Last summer i hit a soda can at 760 yards on the 4th shot from a mountain top to the side of another mountain in windy conditions ( first three shots were close to very close) and 2 summers ago i hit a milk jug at 1,000 yards in 3 three shots with an educated guess on the DOPE for the first shot. Optic was the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 with EBR-7C reticle. Love the glass, price and floating center dot. I have the HyperFire Eclipse (So far my favorite single stage trigger) with HyperFire grip (which is so very awesome and so very unnoticed by so very many). In fact... i'd say a big part of the secret sauce is that HyperFire grip... but of course the barrel is really the number one ingredient here. It's just phenomenal accuracy. I have the black cerakoted quad rail and the rifle is a damn TANK. Feel like i could drop it off a 30-40 ft drop off onto jagged rocks and it would be just fine. I LOVE IT. I have many AR's but that one is probably my favorite to shoot. Second is my BCM BFH MK2 Middy build in MLOK. That rifle has an 8x optic and gets 1/2-3/4 five shot groups with the aforementioned ammo. I can hit out to about 850 yards with that set up and relatively rapid cadence of fire at 750 yards on steel silhouette. Anything beyond about 850 though and it's really hard to spot impacts with an 8x optic... even one with really clear glass.

If you're shooting longer range targets, (about 400 and beyond) you really need a bubble level on your optic.

How does the Vltor kit use a sprinco and buffer? I was under the impression it needs to be a longer spring and special buffer. Help me if I'm wrong.

The green spring from sprinco because its longer for the system.

223 vs 5.56 77 grain is a dilemma. I get more accuracy from the 223 I shoot. But I can tell a difference at the sound of the steel with imi 5.56. IMI is hard to beat for the price but Christ I’m too confident in federal gold metal. Awesome video and sweet ass setup

Is a Noveske really worth the price? If I buy a high end AR then I need the high end optic to go with it , could easily spend $5 grand . I can possibly pull this off without going into debt so thinking about it .

Great question, absolutely not, I shot it with just 55 grain brass range ammo for a about 1k rounds and then fed it match grade and didn’t actually clean it until it had had about 500-750 match rounds through it. Until then I just lubed it.

Should I get a Noveske SS barrel? Debating between Douglas, krieger, and bartlein. You make a great case for Noveske.

@@mexicangator you can’t go wrong with any of those options. They are all proven winners. That being said. I love my stainless Noveske, so I’d do that or the bartlien.
