Loneliness is a compounding pain, the only way to reduce it is to stop focusing on it. Neuroticism is addictive, because negative emotions are easier to accept than positive ones (a sad statement). I say this as someone who's struggled with depression and being alone friend, stop telling yourself you need other people, and overtime just let other people come into your life, if you isolate and spend all your time in doors, go outside, even if its just for a walk, sometimes a small and a "good morning" or "good afternoon" can really lift your spirits as well. Life is a hard thing, but you're never alone.
