Thanks for uploading this! The only video i can find of anyone trying to remove this impossible exhaust. Might end up having to scrap mine due to an exhaust leak in the Y-pipe. The labour to drop the subframe will be £££ let alone the new rear section.

The offside bulb was impossible to remove just using fingers , I used a pair of pliers to get it out . Cheers Eddie PS thanks for the video which was a great help .

Thank you very much! I have the same problems. But often, the locked driver's door won't unlock from the fob, though other doors do. Lately, the same began to happen with the boot also. So, the battery is alive if the car is reacting to the fob?

That method does not always work and in case some people struggle with this, Workshop manual states "Detach the rear seat cushion front retaining clips". The chances of busting the retaining clips are high and some are unforgiving requiring and big flat head and a hammer smashed vertical down in the middle of the guts. Workshop manual also states replace retaining clips when reinstalling seat.

Is this jacking point okay? Nothing to be bent? Because there's quite a discussion about the best way to jack an X-type. Some are building wooden blocks with drilled holes to fit a frame bolt. Your way seems quite easy... but is it also safe?

@@pickledonionface the only way I found was to take the top bolt off with the bottom bolt take that little wheel that has a 10 mm bolt so both brake pad bolts have to come off and allow you to do the pads and rotors in the rear without taking the cable off but I have to change the calipers now because there's emergency brake cables seized up I tried working I'm free but one with free and then it would seize the other side

The problem I foresee with the elimination of the cats, is the computer going ape crazy when it gets a hefty change in O2 level from the downstream sensors. This can probably be remedied with some O2 modules to trick them into believing everything is good!

Great job, good look! When I had an issue with my ashtray, I just removed the coating completely with a fine grained sandpaper (smth like 2000 or 3000) and polished the plastic, looks like OEM.
