Just stumbled across your video and I appreciate it a lot. I traveled across 3 states to purchase one. I wanted it badly. All the way from NC, through SC, Atlanta GA, to Alabama. About a year later, I sent it my good friend Joe Glaser who installed a G/Bender and gave it a good setup. The only thing I found lacking in the guitar were the pickups. The guitar plays well, almost 4 years later, the nitro looks a little aged (which is welcome) and I installed Seymour Duncan La Brea pickups. Makes a massive difference. Thanks for the video.

Greetings from the uk David. Enjoyed the review. I just bought one of these as i play keyboards in a reggae band. The musicians have there own amps with line outs in to the mixing desk and main PA. I was looking for something that our singers could use to monitor their vocals though and this little speaker is ideal. I'll be using the auxiliary sends on our main mixing desk to send the vocals to the Behringer and then the main mix will go to the bigger pa system. Would be great to hear your music David. Although i play reggae i like other music like folk and country too. Have subscribed. Great channel. No hype , just good solid information from someone who knows their stuff. 👍

@@davidmurphey9514 thanks for the info David. Much appreciated. Many reggae artists are very fond of country songs and sometimes cover them. For example, There's a song by Tom Paxton called Last thing on my mind and Reggae singer Delroy Wilson did a lovely reggae cover of it. Looking forward to watching more videos on your channel. I love the way that music brings people together. It's like a universal language. Love your gear reviews too. Keep up the great work.

Hi, great demo. I have only one question. I've watched a lot of videos about this guitar and they all sound like it doesn't have enough bass. What do you think? Is there anything true or am I wrong?
@davidmurphey9514Ай бұрын
It doesn't have the bass boom of a dreadnought or Jumbo. Every string seems to be perfectly balanced in my opinion. If you're looking for the heavy bass this probably isn't the guitar for you. Thank you for your question and for watching

Good review. Thanks. The clean on ch2 has adjustable gain while on ch1 is fixed. With so many combinations, 16x16 equals 256, plus the adjustable bass, treble, gain and effects levels it's impossible not to find the "tone" you are looking for. Switching guitars do have a strong impact of course. One of my xd is always connected to my Stratocaster and the other one to my Acoustic guitar. Of course having two equal amplifiers is great to find great sounds between two friends working as a team and also to play stereo with a single guitar or a stereo keyboard. I got the optional pedal switches to be able to use ch1 or ch2 and effects off and on, 4 sounds in all, ready available at your foot. Your amp sounds similar to my two superchamp xd units. Although I do believe that the older xd model has even better chosen voices and effects but your x2 has the tempo light and the agility of building your own sound with the Fender software and load it through the usb connector. I wonder why Fender decided to replace xd with x2. One good reason might be that the sounds samples on xd might had some kind of legal issues since some brands like Marshall and others do register their sounds from amplifiers and cabinets as propietary. I found my second xd used because it was discontinued and I didn't like the new x2 as much. But x2 is also great in my opinion. For sound, size and weight I love my superchamp amplifiers. Nothing comes close even at higher prices.

Setting it on 40mA is only noticeable at full volume and does decrease the lifetime of the two final tubes. That's probably why it comes set to around 25mA from the factory.

Try a buzz stop and it would greatly enhance the ability to bend notes in the realm of a strat or Tele. Or better yet, the mastery briidge would be a great upgrade. I would take it and get it set up professionally and put one of those two items on it. Because Jazzmasters and Jaguars are notorious for having sub-par bridges.

Dang I didn't even know this guitar was around this long. I thought it was newly made lol. Never seen or heard of it. Walked into guitar center the other day to check out a different guitar, saw this one, played it, bought it. Its a great guitar. Definitely under the radiar kind of guitar. Worth buying for sure, if you are into the classical design, nylon strings, and slim line body. The pick up is amazing too. Compared it to some other plug in nylons in guitar center, and this one out did all of them. The videos dont do it justice either, when it comes to the look. It has a beautiful red wood kind of look. And the details in the sound hole inlay are great. Im not a fan of the unfinished neck though. Looks weird to gloss everything but the neck. Not sure why they did that. And the bridge is too glossy, but over all this guitar is great.

Hey man, nice video. I have this same amp but the GC version. 12"Jensen P12Q. Bought it brand new a few months ago. I love the amp and it's one for life but I've noticed the chassis gets hotter than any other tube amp I've owned. The area on the front with the knobs gets so hot that I can't touch it for more than a few seconds. Have you noticed anything like that with yours?

Yes I have. I play a lot out doors in extreme heat sometimes. I strongly suggest if you're playing out doors to set up a fan to blow in the back. You'll probably lose or weaken tunes if you don't. In doors isn't a problem but I still use a fan. Thanks for watching

I picked one up a couple months back. Sold my gorgeous and increasingly rare honeyburst Gibson B-25 for $2000 and then found an FSX5 for just $900 and am absolutely in love with my little Yammie. It sounds huge! I am a professional live sound engineer and this pickup system with the blended mic/piezo is the very best acoustic guitar amplification system I have ever heard, without a doubt. So natural. Very little need for fancy EQ maneuvering. Stunning for live use! Good idea with the feedback buster. I should pick one up. And, true; An auditorium Taylor is probably a close comparison - warm, woody sound. My Yammie also reminds me of some older Martin 000 models. The details are beautiful too. Don’t forget Yamaha’s proprietary A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process, which gives your guitar a broken-in and aged tone. This is fascinating. A brand new guitar that feels like a 50 year old instrument with the tone and resonance of an old standby that you simply can’t put down. No, I don’t work for Yamaha. I just love this guitar as much as the gentleman in this video. ✌️ ❤

It’s fairly common knowledge that any offset guitar will require a pretty extensive set up. The break angle is almost never sufficient out of the box. It’s a great vibrato provided you set it up correctly. The neck almost always needs to be shimmed to get the bridge and vibrato working properly as well as get the action where you want it. I love mine….now.
