I'm trying to find the origin of this look. Everyone assumes its a SoCal look, and I grew up in SoCal (San Diego). This look didnt really start to gain popularity until the late 2000s, do you know if HD was the first creators of this "Club Style" look?

I think that downing from 44 to 38 teeth is too way much. I just put a 42 teeth sprocket and the change was already reeeeaaally big and good; I got like 20kmh more at every gear (mine is 5 gears) without losing any acceleration. But with 38 teeth you lose too much acceleration and you'll need to change the clutch springs for stronger ones.

How do you like this compared to the Hyper 1100? I've been considering a hyper 1100 and currently have a 2020 690 SMC R in the collection. Kinda worried they'll be too similar but I feel like the Hyper 1100 is so unique in its own.

@bradleygromero2181 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffboyardee777 did you do it yourself? If so, I seen you have to grind that one bracket off. After that did it go on right? What all did you do to make it fit if you were the one that did it? Thanks for the info btw
@jeffboyardee777 Жыл бұрын
@@bradleygromero2181 yes I did it myself. You cut off one of the brackets, then you need to make relief cuts into the exhaust where it meets the header, then shave down the gasket that fits in between the header and exhaust. You will need some different hardware to connect the exhaust at the bracket to the oem exhaust mounting point on the bike

@@jeffboyardee777 thanks! Do you know for which year of the 501? I'm about to buy a 2023 and looking to upgrade with this type of exhaust but I have to import it from USA as there are no fmf here in Uruguay
@jeffboyardee777 Жыл бұрын
@@juansalvadordiaz the year I went with was a 2019 501 SE. In order to make the exhaust fit, you need to cut off a mounting tab (make sure you cut off the correct one or else you’re f*cked), cut relief sections into the metal where the muffler connects to the header, find some hardware to mount the exhaust, and the most tedious part was filing down the stock exhaust gasket to fit inside the smaller diameter fmf opening. I think it’s all worth it though!
