I guess you don't think the collision between Jack Clark & Mike Scoiscia was an extremely violent one even though Mike Scioscia was knocked out & had to be stretchered off the field. You also missed the Norm Charlton collision with Mike Scioscia

One of the best plays in baseball and the most exciting , i hate they took it out...and before you go whining about injuries remember, the catchers choose to stop that runner with there bodies, no different then a running back choosing to put his shoulder into a line man or a boxer choosing to step into the ring...go play golf if your soft.
@psouth1004 күн бұрын
Taking out a player with your body is more of a football thing than a baseball thing.

1:48 look at those steroids ... Edit: 1:33 my first thought as soon as he made contact w the ball "steroid era is crazy" he literally just waved and threw his bat out there at the ball and sent it i had no idea that was even Jose and i had no idea he did steroids..i just looked it up. bro admitted to using. like my very first thought was "thisd era was nuts" dude poked it out after barely getting ahold of it on a slow weak swing.

People saying bring back the catcher collisions did not watch a lot of of these baserunners aiming for the catchers head! they outlawed both running into the catcher and the catcher blocking the plate…
@dba4292Ай бұрын
Damn brave catchers here. The runners don’t have to focus much they can just run. The catchers must first have the ball, then adjust, then pay attention to the runner if they even have time for most this. With milliseconds to decide and try the tag.

12:03 That is as perfect a throw as can be made from left field. I figure these unathletic fantasy-league types need another statistic to serve as tie-breaker criteria...the answer is here-forced fumbles. The cross-over appeal also reminds them that football season isnt too far off...

I miss baseball being a contact sport. I played catcher all through little league and high school and college ball. Loved blocking the plate.

I’m glad they changed the rule. Some of these are literally a medieval freakin charge into the enemy. There’s scoring bases and there’s disorienting enemies and some of these are crossing the line lol. I was gonna say glad they are okay, but no telling the problems they face today due to head trauma back then.

As a catcher, if I had a second to set up, I usually could duck under and get the better of the situation. If the ball and runner got there simultaneously, i usually got crushed. No hard feelings either way. I was blocking the plate, so I had no problem with guys trying to take me out.

11:33 this is the stuff I’m talking about, this is on purpose and so uncalled for, he was so worried about taking the catcher out that he got himself out.. lol and It’s hard watching this knowing every guy did this purposely, trust me I’ve played baseball long enough to know that none of those plays at the home were and accident, you can tell by the way they slide, that’s not a slide to get to the base that’s specifically to take the catcher out. And then hearing the announcer say it’s a clean play.. 😂 like anyone who has ever played baseball knows a collision at home is on purpose.. trust me you know what you’re doing rounding third base.

It’s like it’s an automatic torn ligament when they get hit. That’s surprising to me honestly, I’d have thought they would position themselves better.
