For those wondering, the Janitor Throw was named after A's center fielder Jan Itor (Yah•n Ee•tohr), who would regularly make these kinds of plays. There are some in the community who believe it should be named after a player from the 1928 Pirates, Cust O'deein, but because of his Irish heritage and racism of the time, he is largely overlooked.

I remember doing one of these when I was like 10 or 11 in Little league. I was playing rightfield and I caugh a high fly ball. Chucked it as hard as I possibly could (had nerve pain in the arm after the throw) and it sailed right into Bobby's (the catcher's) glove right as someone was coming into home. One of the best plays I ever made. Probably happened NOTHING like that irl lol. But that's how I remember it.

I played, blessed with great arm, pitcher and right fielder, fly ball to the fence, frozen rope to the plate,no hop, unfortunately it was 10 ft. Towards the 3rd base side of the plate, right through a windshield of a conversion van, was high school game, 305 ft. Throw, lol. Played on past high school ball though.
