I know you did this some time ago but I am just making my first river coffee table. I am wondering why people do not do a seal coat on the underside. Would it be because of drips going to the front? Could you tape off the front to keep the drips off? I don't know how you would put oil under your coffee table several times a year.

When you said you did your seal coat and your flood coat. Did you use the same epoxy that you used from the first pour, or did you switch to another type of epoxy?

Question, I want to place a sports decal on my mancave table. I was thinking I would use this product to put down one layer, place the decal over the top, and then place another layer over the decal. Would that work?

Great video. I'm gearing up to do my first table. Actually I'm going to do a night stand first just to understand the process. The one thing I'm having difficulty with when watching this video and others like it is adhesion between pours to prevent delamination. Should I sand at some point to insure a good bond. I'm a finisher by trade and always sand in between coats that have cured. In my field we use the term, "wet on tack" to achieve a chemical bond within a certain amount of time.

If you pour in layers after it cures will you see lines or the layers?

I like how the wood grain shows through. I would imagine that it is sealed through the process. Am I correct in my assumption?
