I agree, totally unexpected to see a B29 fly right over our picnic!

Can a scanner locate where encrypted signals are ?
@radio6453 ай бұрын
Yes, as long as you're using a digital trunk tracker scanner, but it depends on what kind of encrypted signals you want to monitor. Police? Fire? EMS? government? Most trunk tracker type scanners are expensive and difficult to program however. My two scanners are both analog but I can still hear most anything of interest even without encrypted modes.

@@radio645 thanks for replying. Im in U.K all emergency services radio encrypted. I want the scanner just give rough location of encrypted RF signals some scanners and radio have GPS built into hand scanners ? What would be best digital scanner sds100 ?

@@Stoptherideiwanttogetoff I'm not that familiar with trunk tracking encrypted scanners and wasn't aware of any scanners having a built in GPS unit. I looked up the Uniden SDS100 I/Q digital scanner with all the features except GPS which you buy separately. Like most Uniden scanners you download frequencies according to a USA postal ZIP code. The UK probably doesn't have zip codes? or postal codes which may not work with UNIDEN programing. The SDS has a very hefty price, $649.00 dollars, that's even a lot of $ for me. I'm happy with the UDIDEN BC125AT and the SR30C for my monitoring needs. Sorry I'm not much help answering your question.

What is this?
@radio6454 ай бұрын
This is a HFGCS frequency used by the military to transmit coded transmissions, in this case an EAM, emergency action message. High Frequency Global Communication System broadcasts worldwide with radio traffic for all sectors of the military. Pitchout is a call sign from the sender of an unknown location. Some of these EAM transmissions can be quite long. Most of these broadcasts are on single side band (SSB) can pop up at any time or anywhere on the shortwave radio frequencies.

@@radio645 that was a perfectly detailed explanation. Thank you. Now I know why your video popped up in my algorithm.
