I'm sold, I like it. I'm playing through the Boss Metal Zone and feel I can still get MORE gain outta my Boss Katana MK2 100watt head. Even with the boost on. I want more distortion and more....low end, even with my 8 string tuned down a full step. I'm in Southern Ontario, how the hell do I get my hands on this????

How's the Evertune bridge? I've heard bending on it is not amazing, and I definitely use lots of boomer bends. I'd like to try but I don't have a music store nearby, is it a no-go for benders?

You can bend on it just fine, but need to set it up right (there is a mode without bends and a mode with bends, Ola has a video about Evertune on KZbin). I would say it feels somewhat like a floating trem when it comes to the feeling but might be just me. Of course trying it out in person is the best decision though

Anyone from the Uk got a solar guitar? What were import duties and taxes like? I really want one but not prepared to pay well over the odds just to get it here 😕

If you buy it from Thomann the import duties are included in the price. Direct from Solar you'll pay import duty and VAT, which is about 23% of the total cost, so if the guitar cost £1000 you'll pay £230 in fees. I just worked out for this exact guitar at €1099 you'll pay £182 in fees. Not terrible.

@@blakkno666Yeah it's a bitter pill. I imported a Dean a couple of years back and it cost a fortune in fees. Worth it for blue passports though eh? Lol.
