Bro. Think of a piston. Your first gear produces an alternating rotation. The linear gear doesn’t need to rotate, just move back and foward like a piston.

The problem is there is a huge power hassle between those magnet pieces so it would take a huge energy to move them. I tried it already. It works linearly but not in a continuous configuration. 😊 Sadly. Maybe if you mage an electromagnetic gap between the sections and power it to make the connection than flip it to cut the gap. Idea is good. Again what is the power efficiency?

Humanity has barely figured out a way to create energy that also almost cost just as much. And this ain't it.

You still need a changing magnetic field. If those are all solid magnets, it's going to stop almost immediately.

What problem does it seek to cure? I get that there is no need to switch or invert DC if DC is all you have but expect that the efficiency losses in inverting would be less than the frictional losses in this solutions

So we use rotary motion to create linear motion, which we then convert back to rotary motion! Ipso facto, majik

I actually admire the concept as you use magnetic repulsion to create a force but there is one problem with this is that there is nothing that's actually keeping it going in other words it would find a stall spot and it would not continue to go forward or in movement

It is funny that many comments this as if it was a perpetual motion device. But he never says that. It is just an electric motor that works without switching poles.

Many people have dreamed of how to make a permanent magnet drive system. I have done so myself and thought of countless scenarios. Where this would fail is where the outer rotator nears the platform that it is to push down the repulsive force would be so great that it would eventually stop the whole system. The approach is not a free ride. It has to push into it. That push requires more force that you can recover as it travels across the lowering quarter-circle.

No it doesn’t work and can never work, permanent magnets repel but also attract which causes them to come to a stop between the poles of the magnetic field. Also you need to put more energy in it to be able to cross the pole shifts. And if you put more energy in it you’ll be able to generate electricity, hence gasoline and diesel generators.
