Hi, nice job. The issue you will face with this design is that the system will balance and will stop. You need a separate regauging cycle.. So, you need to only turn off the magnet only when piston is on top.. so store energy during the attraction phase, then release some of that energy to turn the magnet off when piston is almost at top... also, the assumption is that it takes way less power to turn the magnet off.

You didn't consider the torque needed to rotate the magnets against their resisting magnetic forces and away from their atttracting forces. Same problem with most simple magnet motors. Attraction force weakens with distance so there is low net torque when piston bottoms. When piston at top with minimum distance the magnets are shut off. There is no cycle where strong torque can be harvested. Not counting Friction. forces. But good animation. I hope you at least get some views.
@randycoolbaugh1408
@randycoolbaugh1408 Жыл бұрын
two things missing here. 1. A timing mechanism between the "piston" mag and the "rotor" mag. 2. A "throttling" mechanism between the magnets. my design of this same reciprocating style incorporates both. but has much internal drag associated.

The torque that causes two magnets to overlap and reverse polarity is the same. The thrust force that causes the piston to move up and down. Eventually it will rotate because of friction.

The problem , turning "on" that magnet is heavy. Easy to turn to off , but hard to turn to on Turn on that switch = hard because u forcing north to north and south to south Turn off that switch = easy because north to south and south to north In magswitch bit easy turn on because u press and make a gap when turn it on . The hard part in that switch = pressing before u turn it on. I have 2 diametricaly magnetized magnet like in your video. That magnet stick nort to south , south to north. It require force to turn. Otherwise it will always in off position Energy from pulling that piston = energy to turn that magnet on In my opinion 🙏.

Bravo!!! A thinker whom is outside the box of E=mc squared😅😅😅😅. Im a engine mechanic, yet my dad got me into the power of magnetic energy . What you just presented is a reality of what magnets can really do. There are permanent magnets at our disposal with a repelling force of almost a 1000lbs with a diameter of 3 inches and 1 1/2 inches thick. A petrol fuel engine would envy that kind of power. Glad I came across your post neighbor. The best of the best dont live inside a box that institutions create. Persevere my neighbor. Your mind is free😊
@heinzpg
@heinzpg 6 ай бұрын
Thinking outside the box can be a virtue - but it can also be nonsense. The attempts to build magnet motors dates back to the 13 century! No design ever worked. Yes, we have astounding strong permanent magnets today, but this is not relevant. If permanent magnets can run a motor, also weak magnets could do it, only the output power of the motor would also be weak. But never did any inventor achieve an output at all! Permanent magnets deliver forces, and very big ones too, but they can't deliver continuous energy but only what physicists call "potential energy". If a magnet attracts e.g. another magnet, work is done. But to repeat this you have to separate the magnets, which consumes all the energy which was gained before. Which is also the reason why this machine does not work. To turn the magnetic disks at the top uses all the energy delivered by the piston, no usable energy is left. Nature can't be tricked.
@bettymachado
@bettymachado 11 күн бұрын
@@heinzpgif you are correct then it would take 1000lb of torque to turn the handle on or off to release 1000lb pull or thrust? Really? Have you done it?
@heinzpg
@heinzpg 10 күн бұрын
@@bettymachado Magnetic forces decrease substantially with distance. The piston is only for a short time near the magnets. In contrast, for turning the magnetic disk magnetic forces must be overcome and in this case the distance of the two magnetic discs is close all the time. The author "Energygraphy" says at the end of the video that he wants to make a contribution to research - which shows his incompetence. Research is complete in this field, it is assured knowledge that permanent magnets can not deliver any energy. I haven't done an experiment myself, laws of physics allow us to predict the outcome of experiments without doing them. But many others have tried it, without any success as could be expected. The author "Energygraphy" has presented a multitude of similar designs on KZbin, almost every month a new one. But he never shows a real device, he only shows computer animations. If he would really be willing to do research he should have built at least one of his designs. Then he could have learned why it doesn't work.

What he has described and shown is a perpetual motion machine, with the up and down motion of the piston linking back through gears to turn the permanent magnet set on and off, which in turn causes the piston to move up and down. So, not gonna work. He needs to ditch the connection and have SOMETHING ELSE power the switching of the permanent magnet set. Now, there may well be a use for driving a piston in this way., but it should always be made clear that what's actually powering the piston's motion is that "something else" that keeps turning that one magnet, and the amount of energy to do that switching can be substantial, and certainly isn't free. Oh, and of course, as others have pointed out, the forces of magnetism don't operate on a distance far enough to pull back that piston, situated so far away from the magnets.

Yepp! Just another perpetuum mobile of the first kind. Just because people confuse force with energy. Energy W is a force F acting along particular distance s. In terms of a differential equation dW=F(s)·ds. The same principle applys for the rotational case. The problem with this design is, the energy gained by the piston is exactly the same to turn the magnet off an on. No kidding. However, there are losses, like friction and eddy currents that will stop the machine quite quickly. The only way, to get out energy from permanent magnets is to demagnetize them, since the energy Density stored in a magnet is defined as W/m = Bmax · Hmax with the unit [J/kg]. And this energy density is not only disappointingly low but round-trip efficiency is also very poor.

Oh dear. It's supposed to be a perpetual motion machine? What you actually made, was a perceptual motion machine instead. We perceive the motion, so it's perceptual. However it's not perpetual because the rotation of the the upper magnet (ignoring friction) is affected by the rising piston. The rising piston comes up fast but then absorbs energy from the top magnet, resisting it's spin away from paired poles with the bottom magnet.

It will save much energy I had also built a motor with this technic but with permanent magnets and electro magnets. The poles İ have changed with electro magnets . The videos I have hier in KZbin .But, I couldnt have a self rotating, perpetuum motor 😊

This will not work, since significant power will be required to turn the magnet, the efficiency will not exceed 1.. Это не будет работать, так как потребуется значительная мощность для поворота магнита, кпд не преодолеет 1..
