You said that the flat front of the camera is a problem with early Canon bodies, but this is the last rangefinder they made. I think they just didn't want to add a grip until they switched to SLR-style cameras since Leica's rangefinders have flat fronts

This is the worst comparison dude there’s virtually no way to tell from completely different images, different styles, different lighting… it could be 20 different lenses

Update: Tilta now makes a cage for the R3. To my hands it feels better, especially the main right side grip, also a bombproof looking set up that feels much more secure. Again thanks for the video!

I get Leica is top quality and their stuff in hand made and put together in a sterile environment, but holy hell their shit is severely overpriced.

I just ordered the cage, might just saw off the two rear parts, making up the side arca mount, so the screen has more room to swivel.

great content man, glad I found your channel, even if there's a bunch of stuff I already kind of know or understand, I like the way you lay it out and remind people to explain from a personal use case perspective. (I know this is an older video of yours but still a nice one to watch for the first time.

Considering what KZbin does to uploaded videos, there's no way in hell you could tell the difference no matter how different the lenses were IRL.

I like the idea of a 0.58x viewfinder, and shoot a lot of 28/35mm but in the case of shooting with an 80mm lens, is it ridiculous to even do with a 0.58x viewfinder because the frame lines would be so small? Maybe with a 1.4x magnifier?

I have glasses, fyi, that's why the 0.58 appeals to me.

It looks pretty interesting for the price, thanks for the review. I've been looking at this lens for a Fuji GFX as you can get it with a G mount adapter, and there's very little else available in 28mm. The TTArtisan 28mm may be a better performer in some ways, but the close focus on this Mitakon is very appealing. I use a MIR 10-A 28mm for video which focuses to 20cm, creating some amazing possibilities for compositions, but it vignettes quite a bit on full sensor photos. I'd love Mitakon to do a 28mm or 35mm version of their 65mm f1.4 (G-mount).

I wonder how much 7Artisan puts into research and development, or do they just copy popular lens designs??.... How long before Leica won't have funds to do R&D? Will 7Artisan still produce amazingly cheap lenses then??... #justasking

You can’t see the difference on the internet. Print it 10x10 put it close to each other and any good professional will tell you. But because 90% of the photos are for internet use. Before spending so much money for a lens you should ask yourself what you are doing with your photos.

Looking to get a 70-200 for my R6. The RF 2.8 is way too pricey for my budget atm so I have considered one of these or the RF F4 as I like that size.
