Glad for this rare video on this. Everyone else talks about either the West German or MK25 or P226 in general

The P229 and its variants: Elite, Legion, M11-A1, nitrite, etc… will accept P226 and 228 mags and feed reliably. The P229 mags are slightly wider and will not fit the P228. Now, you know ;)

That’s not why they don’t use stainless steel in Germany on the original 228 …the U.S. decided to use stainless steel when we started making the slides for Sigs when we introduced the P229 in .40 caliber and of course, now we’re making everything in United States, and that added a ton of weight to it, the 228 was much lighter, using the alloy steel slides.

I never get tired of hearing John's story. He is a solid bro all the way. What I like the most is the little side comments he makes here and there. On COMBAT STORY he was discussing training hand to hand and the importance of having those skills. Right at the end of something he was explaining he looks dead on in the camera and simply says, "nobody has ever made it out of a small room with me alive." He did not elaborate, and the interviewer did not ask any questions about that.

This man is a professional with Tier 1 Experience sharing it with viewers. Enlightening to say the least. Two things taught here: 1. to respect a firearm and 2. What a firearm is NOT. Robot or not, you aren't getting these Gun lessons very frequently from a Professional of his caliber.......

@@michael7v6 hey bro, I commented on YOUR post lol. You have the right to an opinion. I just feel as a student of Mcphee, I ought to side by him. Anyway, dig deep and you will discover truth that no other men but this man can portray. It's really that Big of A Deal. Sadly, people have a once in a lifetime chance to connect now and seek out Grade A Knowledge to save their lives one day through this technology. I feel ZERO PITY FOR THOSE WHO COMMIT GUN VIOLENCE AND CRIME. Mcphee is practically HANDING YOU his valuable skills all out of the goodwill of his heart. Better soak it up while you can!

M11A1 is a version of the 229, and is the best variation for the package of features and benefits.
