How many cameras do you usually have running during a video?
@ccdetailing15 сағат бұрын
1 😅 It's more or less me looking like an idiot running around whatever car 500 times with a tripod. Our neighbors here I bet get a kick out of it. I know I look ridiculous sometimes running from one end to the other with the camera non stop, so soap doesn't dry Lol

On almost every car. If you pay for a thorough detail, then you have to be thorough! Plus if I'm paint correcting or if the car is getting PPF, have make sure there isn't any surprise dirt. Gotta make sure it's clean!

The Corvette brand remains among the most powerful supercar brands.I used to pick it up a lot and drive it on Need for Speed Most Wanted. In the early years of the game's release, I was impressed by its lightning-fast speed.😄😄😄. Great wash from you 👍🏻👌🏻

I appreciate it! I hope to add more non-correction / coating details again this year. Some more videos focused on things as simple as washing, drying off, trying new products, etc. Going to try to challenge myself by focusing a lot on the filming aspect and having fun too. A great video. Your attention to detail is clear, your customers should be thrilled. Maybe slow down your overdubbed narration? You speak fast and, for example, your live narration with the clay bar is much easier to understand as your tempo is slower.

Congrats, Caleb, on 10k subscribers. What is that black hand-held blower you use to get water out of those cracks and crevices? Will you be posting any videos from last weekend's Eurofest?
@ccdetailing6 күн бұрын
Thank you!! For the blower, it's just "Mini Air Duster" off amazon. It was given to me as a gift and I had no idea how much I'd actually end up using it. It has been absolutely USED hard and it an awesome tool to have. As for Eurofest, sadly no! I have photos though! SouthEastEuro just got them from me a few days ago, so keep an eye out for that. I'll also get with D and Matt so I can post the CFLAudiGroup's photos I took! With being so backed up already with editing, I didn't film anything or else it would have been a month+ until a video would be finished Lol.

Agree 100% on the HLR75, great product from Rupes. Since you already have the 3 inch and I see the process, you might consider the HLR21 instead of the 15. 6 inch backing plate makes for quicker corrections and larger sections.

If I could get my hands on an HLR21, I'd be set! Full cordless 1/2", 3", and 5" set up would be awesome! Thatt is, once I talk myself into spending the money Lol.

Just a tip for the one in a thousand cars you’ll detail with the white lettering facing out, but after scrubbing well you can take 220ish grit sandpaper and sand down to fresh white rubber. This is actually a recommendation from BF Goodrich themselves.

congrats on 10k buddy! great one as always. also, what lights do you set up to highlight sections for corrections/coatings?
@ccdetailing13 күн бұрын
Thank you! My main paint inspection light is a "Master Elite 500 Lumen Paint Light." It's a vital part of the process and is used a LOT. I would recommend the Scangrip Paint Light over this one though. Weighs a lot less and is a higher quality light. And as for the bigger lights, I have no idea lmao. I bought Amazon Basics "Light Socket Tri-Pods" and then bought "5000 Lumen Foldable Garage Light" years ago, trying to make a budget light set up, and it actually is still the best dang set up I've had out of all the lighting I've bought over the years. The big dome looking light also was just a random cheap brand Light + Diffuser kit off amazon. Hope this answers your question!

Nice! What u hitting it with first? Iron remover/ APC/ somethng else? I have these wheels and the combo of gloss black and the soft VW pads make for a dirty wheel!
@ccdetailing8 күн бұрын
Gotta switch out the factory/OE pads first! Get some that are not as dusty. I used Just wheel cleaner + car soap in the foam cannon. Foam is for the sake of lubrication mostly since they're gloss black wheels and not satin/matte. It'll help to elevate any kind of potential scratching or swirling.

Thank you! For those kinds of areas I finger polish. Just some product on a paint-dedicated microfiber that I always use for just that purpose. I recently have dove into the rotary/Dremel side of things, but I feel like finger polishing is just easier for me.

Killer video. Makes me want one in the same spec lol! Do you have to re-wash the wheels to get the rotor rust dust off of them after driving it out to take the final shots?
@ccdetailing22 күн бұрын
Thank you! One of the best methods is to prevent water from even drying on the rotors to begin with. I should start showing this in the videos, but I usually move the cars forward a lot and brake, reverse and brake, so on so forth, about 4 or 5 times (after it's been washed - prior to pulling it in the shop.) Pretty heavy on the brakes. This will displace water that's on the wheel as well as remove/evaporate any water that's on the rotors or calipers. That's what allows me to get so many different angles for pulling the car in sometimes Lol. Hope that makes sense!

Hi Caleb, do you plan on buying a lift? Looks very uncomfortable working like this. Great job though! Greetings from the Netherlands
@ccdetailing22 күн бұрын
I have been contemplating buying a lift for the last year or so. The problem with the lift is how much we juggle cars around here. I have a set of Quick Jacks as some-what of a lift if need be, but it is a hassle to get those set up. SO Maybe in the future I'll look at a 4 or 5ft scissor lift or something that we cut into the ground, but for now, I'll make do with what I have lol. ONE DAY THOUGH!
