Awesome. I died chuckling when you spit the first one back in and Rita somewhat scolded you. I'm of Scottish descent but feel the same about scotch, blah..it all tastes like fermented raisins strained through a dirty moldy washcloth. Give me a good bourbon. I can take some Irish whiskeys and even more Japanese. Keep up the practice... You can do it.

Thank you for the great review as always! And I agree that Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a standard by which I judge all other bourbons. I just did this comparison, but with a shelf Green River Full Proof, and agree they are very close! The shelf GR is about the same price (a few bucks less depending on the store) as the RB in my area, so both are excellent choices! The shelf GR FP is a little less sweet and fruity, and a little less spicy than the RB and almost as a "dry" quality to the mouth feel that, given the right circumstances or your individual taste, could make it a better choice over the RB. I will be keeping an eye out for a store pick of the GR FP!

Dave is the Sultan of Samples. I got the full proof. When I tried it I thought this could be a Rare Breed contender. Although its definitely good, it didn't hold up in a blind.

This 15 is outstanding! Just picked mine up and wow! Deep amber color, some leather, little cherry and caramel. Has a wonderful viscosity that just like syrup. Has oak but overly and goes not diminish the sweetness. A beautiful long lasting finish. This is absolutely fantastic. Well worth the price but good luck finding it for MSRP. This is a definite buy!

I got a Green River store pick that isn’t great. Then I got the shelf Fullroof and it’s great. Another fine video today

jd 12 year is close to $300 here in ny..you gave everyone msrp...its never sold for that..i cant even try the 10 year...almost $200...ridiculous....

This was an epic comparison of fantasic pours (could have used more hand shaking at the beginning 😂). I'll never see a RR15 for a fair price anyway, but I do have an unopened JD12 batch 1 and batch 2! And while the msrp of JD14 might be around $150 I'm guessing I'll never see it for that price... it will be more like $700 😂 and that's not veeerrrrryyyy special at all smh!

Can't even find the russels 13 let alone the 15. However I did find the harding creek Jacob well 211Month aged, the boston and knob creek 18 so got those. calumet farm 16 and 15 on my shelf too. Passed on Dickel 17yr old for 250 doll hairs but got the Dickel 15yr old Ohio exclusive for $65

Wow I’m grateful I have all those - JD b2, JW 211, RR13 b5. I have RR15 and from my tastings even tho I haven’t side by side JW 211; I think I would much rather prefer rr15 just cause the flavor bomb, viscosity, and finish but i should do a side by side. And that’s I love JW 211; I just wish it hit me like it hits your palate haha.

Actually, it’s a blend of 15 and 16 yr per press release but like 75% 15 yr.

Jd12's have been going for 500+ here in NW FL while i got my RR15 for 300...

It is a blend of 75% 15yr and 25% of 16yr. And i do agree about Campari prices.... they are over priced but im being hypocritical because I got a bottle....

I had one of these in my cart both times Russell's launched them, both times the website crashed and I could not get to the checkout, was super frustrating, especially seeing these now going for $500.

I am on board with what you are saying, but you can’t get the Hardins Creek for 165 anymore. Are you still finding it for that price?

Cheapest I can find the Hardins Creek is $300 so its a hard pass for me with these ridiculous whisky prices vs. Elijah Craig.
