Awesome design. Unfortunately, 80$ is still way outside my comfort zone for something that is very unlikely to keep accurate time and is more like a piece of decoration.

Note that the tick rate of the clock depends on the length of the pendulum. If it is too long, it will tick slower and the clock will fall behind little by little over time, and if it is too short it will gain seconds over time. Unless you perfectly manufacture this pendulum with the exact correct length, it cannot be calibrated to adjust it. Old clocks from 100 years ago often had the weight attached to the pendulum arm with a nut attached to the threaded end, and you could raise or lower the center of mass on the pendulum by rotating the nut, which allowed the user to calibrate the clock as necessary.
