One of the greatest artists out there, saw her numerous times in concert and her London Palladium parties afterwards, I simply adored her, It was absolutely disgusting the way she was hunted and accused by the media for something she was innocence of. I wish she had been made a dame or at least recognised for her talent and years of entertaining. But still nothing will take away her creativity and amazing musicianship. I love ❤️ you Dot. Still play your songs on a regular basis. R.I.P.

My late mum who was from South Wales too was a big fan of Maureen. I remember her playing Maureen’s 1963 record Tomorrow is another day/Acapulco Mexico over and over again. I still remember every word of the songs and my sister has the original vinyl record.

There is a short documentary on here about Ruby's life filmed very shortly before her passing and it's very moving to say the least, Ruby was only around 60 at the time of filming and sadly she looked very old & frail, way more than her 60 years, I would highly recommend watching it if you are a Ruby Murray fan, she was truly a BEAUTIFUL & PURE SOUL!! that had very sadly slipped into many years of heavy alcohol use from the pressures of life and her strenuous schedule which lead to her untimely passing in 1996 at the age of only 61 from liver cancer 😢😢

Long remember by a five year old boy in 1963, such a voice what a prefect voice; gone but not forgotten by this sixtyfour year old man now who love her voice as five year old.
