Their religion is interesting. I’m curious if there are any connections between Miao and Tay/Zhuang. The blessing ceremony concept is slightly similar to Hmong shamanism and animism.

Some quotes from famous Slavs: 1. Kirov Gligoroff. First President of the newly founded Republic of FYROM: “We are Slavs who immigrated to this region in the 6th century AD. We have nothing to do with Alexander the Great." 2. Ljubco Georgievski, Prime Minister: "Ancient Macedonia is not here in Skopje but further south" 3. Miroslav Grecev, Mayor of Skopje: "It's just ridiculous our association with Alexander the Great" 4. Toni Deskoski Professor of Law at the University of Skopje: "We are trying to transform a Slavic nation into a Greek one" 5. Lyubica Acevska Ambassador of Skopje to the USA: "We are Slavs and speak a Slavic language" 6. Peter Silegov, Mayor of Skopje: "Alexander the Great was never part of our history, it has become the last few years"

Some quotes from some famous Greeks: “It’s the fault of a German. [Winckelmann] We used to speak Albanian and call ourselves Romans, but then Winckelmann, Goethe, Victor Hugo, Delacroix, they all told us, ‘No, you are Hellenes, direct descendants of Plato and Socrates,’ and that did it. If a small, poor nation has such a burden put on its shoulders, it will never recover.” Greek author and intellectual Nikos Dimou “What led to the great expansion of this phenomenon of Arianistic values was the "Science of Antiquity" in schools where THE TEACHING OF CLASSICAL CIVILIZATION FALSIFIED THE DISCIPLINE WITH THE FICTITIOUS, FICTIONAL HELLENISTIC MODEL.” “Hellenic civilization as we know it was in fact THE INVENTION OF THE "SCIENCE OF ANTIQUITY", of classics. As such it could have been (and was) endowed with whatever signification the discipline found useful.” Stathis Gourgouris, ‘A Nation of Dreams’ ‘The Macedonian nation accomplished, in the general history [of civilization], a different mission from that of the Hellenic nation’ (Paparrigopoulos 1849-53, 1.193); Paparrigopoulos. ‘Textbook of General History’ 1849 "GREEK NATIONAL IDENTITY DID NOT EXIST before the 19th century. It was created from the outside in an era of intense nationalism, colonialism and expansionist imperialism (p. 16). In short, SOME PEOPLE FROM ABROAD TOLD US IN THE 19TH CENTURY THAT WE WERE GREEKS AND WE ACCEPTED IT IN ORDER TO SAVE THEM SELLING THE FAIRY TALE THAT WE ARE DESCENDANTS OF THE ANCIENT GREEKS." As quoted by O Konstantinos, ‘Mud, Forgeries, Nationalist Frenzy’ "In those days [1800s - 1900s] there were Arvanites (Albanians), Vlachs and Slavs. All of them had to become part of one national body. And so they became. BUT THIS IS NOT TO SAY IN THIS DAY AND AGE WE SHOULD BE UNDER THE ILLUSION THAT WE ARE THE DESCENDANTS OF PERICLES." Professor Thanos Veremis, transcript from interview "For if any non-Greek power, whether Persian or Macedonian, were to achieve world dominion, the typical form of the Greek state would suffer death and destruction." Demosthenes, Famous statesman from antiquity, “When the Great War comes, Macedonia will become Greek or Bulgarian, according to who wins. If it is taken by the Bulgarians, they will make the population Slavs. If we take it, we will make all of them Greeks”. Harilaos Trikoupis, Greek Prime Minister 1882-1895 “The real Greeks would never have driven out the Turks. They were too degraded even to wish for liberty. For many years after we had achieved our own independence they called the times of Turkish rule ‘the good times.’ IT WAS THE ALBANIANS AND MACEDONIANS AND FOREIGNERS who fought the Turks.” General Kalergi, author Greek Revolution of 1843 and Greek Minister "...Modern Greeks being a messy Greco-Roman-Slavic-Turkic-Semitic lot emerging from the Ottoman Empire who with the leadership of people like Byron declared themselves Greek - The forced westernization process which began in Ottoman Greece between 1821 and 1921, was more about CREATING GREEKS rather than liberating them - Images of Hellenes were invented in the minds of Enlightened British, French and German aristocrats and bourgeoisie". Mr. Fotis Kapetopoulos, 15 Sep 2009 "..Suddenly, we got all those pastors who inserted the idea that they actually are not shepherds but proud sons, grandchildren and relatives of Pericles, Demostenisa and Pythagoras, the names which they have never heard of, but it looked like the Europeans to respect.(sic) So we have essentially THE ENTIRE NATIONAL IDENTITY BUILT ON LIES: we are all sons of Socrates (but not gay)". Greek writer Mr. Lenos Hristidis 19/09/2009 “If any Western import has harmed Greece, it's been neither rationalism, nor the political system, nor technology. It's been the idea of the continuity of Hellenic civilization.” Nikos Dimou, Greek intellectual "Greece is the most artificial of all artificial nations that resulted from the dissolution of the Ottoman empire." Yerasimos Kaklamanis (Analysis of Neohellenic Bourgeois Ideology, page 13).

Macedonians are not considered a "minority" in Greece, they are part of Greece, just like Sparta and other peopel and regions from Ancient Greece. Slavic Macedonians peopbably are not recognized separately from Bulgarian/Slavic minority.

@HK-pp9ig
@HK-pp9ig 2 ай бұрын
@@nikolajovanovski5409 yep, partially correct. Bulgaria is 1/3 Thracian, 1/3 Bulgars (tucik tribe), and 1/3 Slavic. Macedonia was part of the ancient Greek world until 146 BC; that year Rome conquered Macedonia, Greece and Epirus; and from that moment it was not heard aorund about Greece or Macedonia until 1821 when Germans and other European powers incited and supported the Greek independence. Meantime, the Macedonians were slavicized and there was no separate identity until Ilinden and Titto's SFRY of Macedonia to spike Bulgaria and Greece at the same time. If you want to be Macedonian, you need to take Macedonia over from Greece, Pela and Vergina are in Greece and that was the heart of Macedonia; not Skopje - according to Romans, Skupi (aka Skopje in Slavic) was an Illyrian city. Also, you might want to search for an ever elusive "Macedonian" language that is not Bulgarian. I don't want to sound mean, but how can I discern between my "Macedonian" friends from the Bulgarian friends who speak the same language. The words that you use which are not Bulgarian, are Serbian... and rightfully so, because you are between Serbia and Bulgaria, and both countries have fought over the Vardar (aka Axios) region.

Thank you for this voice from your soul. I am going to Saigon next week : do you know a good flute maker who does good and simple flutes only with bamboo (without piece of metal or any other stuff like that)? I would like to get one and learn. Thank you so much! Best!
