There was so much wrong with this show , but I loved it. They used poor jess Kirkpatrick for five roles, Gloria became julie foster, Larry was the youngest in his family, then in one episode he had a baby brother. Eddie had about four fathers, Gilbert was Gilbert gates early on, then he was Gilbert Bates later. Mrs Rayburn was the teacher and principal at times. Poor Beaver was a habitual liar from the first shows until the last shows. Wards talks didn't seem to do any good. There was so much more wrong with this show, but I love it and the writing was outstanding on what must have been a tight budget 💯

White folks always had terrible hygienic habits especially when up-close and personal.

A " foetor ex ore" ( bad breath) could be a pathological symptom for some gastrointestinal diseases but certainly hygiene is the most important cause. Smokers , for example, have often a foulish stinky kloake breath. Kissing love action is here hardly possible without brushing teeth or chewing strawberry gums before kissing action ......or you have no problem to kiss defaecation...it stinks sonetimes like shit...I had my experiences...hehe

I've heard that old "Ward, youre being too hard on the Beaver" line countless times over the years. Anyway, Im not sure what episode it is, but theres one where Wally is having some kind of trouble with a girl, and goes over to her house to straighten things out. Eddie Haskell shows up at the Cleavers unannounced. Beaver tells him whats going on, and how Wally might get the short end of the stick, because he wont fight a girl. Eddie mockingly says something to the effect of "Wallys going to get beat up by a girl." In defense of his brother, Beaver replies "Listen Eddie. Wally can lick any girl" HAHAHA !! Too funny! !! Just one more reason that I've been a fan since about the mid 60's
