The scene in Coal Miners daughter where they're at the little fairground and Sissy, and Beverly were singing in the rain..That was filmed near my hometown and my stepmom and her friend were extras..They were so upset when the camera panned to the audience and all you could see were umbrellas..I have not been back there in 25 years and I still remember how muddy that fairground would get when it rained..I have uncles,and friends and fathers that were coal miners..However,the technology,and pay scale was 100 times better than what Loretta's father was getting paid to risk his life ..I have 2 uncles that were in work related accidents where one of my uncles lost his leg..The pay was awesome but it was still a dangerous job ..I love Sissy Spacek and she did an amazing job bringing Loretta's personality and talent to life..All I have to say is a nose job really? That's all the gossip that people could spew out about this beautiful lady..
