I hope the absolute best for you. I speak the knowledge you've blessed us with on a regular basis. I damn near can't work on a vehicle without thinking about things you've taught us.

40% less than customer pay jobs! Take customer pay jobs and the warranty time then multiply it by 1.9hr that's your customer pay rate! This guy is stupid and sucks at warranty tickets!!

This tech needs a diesel Cert, a CDL license, and connection to a heavy duty service shop. Consumer automotive just keeps better for EVERYONE, EXCEPT the technician. Like the movie, GET OUT.

I worked at Honda among other dealerships over the years as a technician . The absolute worst paying jobs I had were pay by job. Not because we didn’t do the jobs right or fast but if you had to wait for parts (almost always) you’d be out a couple days waiting for it to be finished . I’d be getting paid for jobs I could have had finished that day two weeks later . Anyhow I work by the hour now and more than double my pay at Honda :) in fact my hourly bonus is more than my flat rate hours at Honda

Life has seasons. In my teens and early twenties I struggled with addiction, failed academics, extreme family abuse, death of two loved ones, homelessness and the death of two loved ones all within the span of a few years I floated from job to job working a different job on average every six months. With no high school and no college I worked awful trade jobs where I was bullied to no end for being a man who happens to like other men. Finally, after years of struggling I'm in my mid thirties, I have found an amazing job making more money than I could have asked for, I have an amazing group of friends who are like family to me, I have constructive and interesting hobbies, I live in an really cool place. Things get better man, after the fall and winter comes spring and summer. You are amazing and I know you'll find yourself and great success, be patient, read a lot of books on psychology, meditation and eastern religion, that helped me so much. Peace 🙏

Stop doing videos, until you take the time to explain all the steps.. what to remove and what to look for. Removing spark plugs, wires and any connections - get them out of the way. Look to see if there is oil in the spark plug tubes, where the gasket leaked, see if the spill got to any harness or other electrical.. inspect the area, remove all the old silicone, nice to tell them to re install everything.. you should cover it so they have a visual and audio check list.. and the job is complete.

Warranty rate needs to pay the tech the same as customer pay. Everyones tired of getting 4 hours for what would have been 9 or more.

Warranty work - for the tech... it has not changed in 40 years!! I was a tech for Gm in the 70s & 80s. About the same difference in their labor hours differences from "customer pay" flat rate manual. One of the reasons I left. I'm sure there are other dealer issues still in place that the techs get the short end too. WTF

If the job was done easily a lot of people would do it themselves or bring it to "handyman" in the neighborhood. So no job for specialist or workshop technicians.

Mechanics used to be mechanical engineers, now they are just part changers. They change parts that suffered resulting damage, but fail to correctly diagnose the cause of failure, thus not correcting or truly repairing the problem.

I'm sure there is a special Nissan tool for that available for dealership service depts. DYI mechanics and non-dealership shops will not pay Nissan for that special tool. Thus a true mechanic will make do, either by fabricating their own special tool or by dropping the engine. Seriously though I've cut and welded many wrenches and sockets over the years, fabricating my own special tools, which I have a special drawer full of them in my toolbox. Tip: Don't cut up or destroy your snap-on or even Craftsman wrenches, that's what the "made in China" wrenches are for, special tool making.
