It's a night and day difference. I wish all of our diesels had one. It makes them start dam near like a modern diesel. I have one on my pulling tractor with the 426 engine. I have a short of me staring it I will post the link here.

Yes my clay soil corn field does well, especially in a dry year if it is broken up well in the Spring and then stay off of it as much as possible. If you know someone with a red brick house, well that looks like my soil...

😆 I've got about 5 acres an together of red clay like your talking. I have 2 sections that were rock quarry around the turn of the century, the close you get to the acual quarry the feeder it gets. The rest of the clay ground is the light brown clay, perfect for pottery 😆. That's for watching and commenting Jeff!!

A c2 and a G are an era behind the 7700 is not fair to compare them really. Like saying he upgraded from a 7700 to an r series gleaner... no contest. Ask if the problems you said about the older gleaners were addressed by the time they got to the Ms, Ls, and Fs I'd put my M2 up to a 7700 any day off the week, especially now 45 years later, I still only need a hammer and a torch 😆. O and no proprietary parts on my gleaner either lol.

On the l2 they were at about ⅜ because the corn was 13% and I couldn't add much air without blowing seed out of the back especially on the hills. But I usually run around ⅝ in 18٪. As far as the chaffer I run it open as far as I can, just so the full cobs can't get caught in it.

Hey Tim! Glad the ol L2 is working out well for your brother. Your load out system seems to work well! The landing gear on that auger is weird though. I look at a lot of augers and wonder what on earth the engineers who designed them are smoking. They work, but they put a lot of force against a bunch of cheap thin tubing. Glad you found a job for the "turd" gas 190 LOL. Sounds like she definitely has some exhaust leaks. Thanks for sharing, Tim! Be safe out there, I hope the rest of your harvest is good!

The old gas 190 is at least reliable 😆 it's done everything we've asked of it so far..... dad's xt just would do it better 😆 🤣 😂. We won't be back in the fields for at least a week at this point we've got over 2 inches of rain in the past few days, and things don't dry out this time of year. At this point I might be waiting for it to freeze before I get back after it. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!

Wow, Tim, that's quite a collection you got stuffed in there! Hopefully the old Oliver 99 doesn't feel too out of place LOL. Glad you have a good shed to keep them in and that it freed up a lot of space for your heavy working tractors. I wonder if you can help solve an Allis related argument for me. My uncle Tom has my grandpa's WD45. Many years ago, they hurt the original engine in the 45 and Grandpa bought an engine from a newer tractor to put in it. Tom swears it has a D14 engine in it, I told him he's full of crap and that it's probably from a D17. I didn't think a D14 block would bolt up in a WD45. I figured you're way more knowledgeable than I am and I thought I would ask. Thank you for your videos, Tim! I hope you have a safe and bountiful harvest! Have a good one, friend!
@TimothyFluegel
@TimothyFluegel 20 күн бұрын
Thanks Evan!!! So one thing a d14 has about 22hp at the pto. It would be the most underpowered wd45 you ever ran. A 226 with a dead cylinder would prolly have more power 😆. As far as if the engine will fit, the shirt answer is yes, but there would be some fabrication for the flywheel to work. Back in the day it would have been, easier, and way more economic to use a 226. And the 14 engine wouldn't fill the engine bay right it's smaller and you'd be able to look at it and say... well that's not right 😆.
@evanaustin2636
@evanaustin2636 19 күн бұрын
@@TimothyFluegel Thanks, Tim! That's pretty much what I've been trying to tell him, but he won't believe me. I'm pretty sure it's a later D17 engine, it has the bigger external oil lines for the full flow oil filter. I didn't think the smaller engine would fit up to the bell housing without an adapter, and I guarantee Grandpa couldn't have made an adapter that could make it work right. Thanks for the info! I hope you have a good one, Tim!
