That's a sweet running tractor Tim! I can't believe it sat for that long. Good job bringing her back to life!

Thankyou Evan! I'm not used to buying tractors that run this good lol I seem to be the king of basket cases sometimes 😆

185's are a great machine! One of the finest Allis ever produced. Mine would be one of the last to leave if things ever got tough. Yours even has the correct muffler on it, mine does too, now.

I can't believe how good of shape this thing is in. And the muffler is definitely impressive 😆.

Man when I was in diesel school we had a teacher from Dyersburg TN. named Phillip Jones,he was a top man for AC on Rosa Master pumps. He taught us how to tear them down and rebuild them and we ran them on a calibrating machine to set each port.

@millardhayes1884 I've allways wanted to learn this, I've had a couple chances with my pump shop but the stand was never set up for Rosa master pump when I go. But one of these days I'm gonna learn and have my own stand. It's one of my life goals 😆

You are a genius, and sounds like you got the deal of the century!! Wow, that thing runs amazing, Tim!! I CANT wait to see this and that 190 at the pull!! Great job on the pump!! 😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲👍🏻👍🏻

Thankyou Nelson!!! I'm pretty happy with this purchase. I've got a feeling some might be upset with me when I turn it into a bonafied puller though 😆.

Very successful adventure..I especially liked all the debris blowing out of the muffler..at first I thought it was a bunch of bats.
@TimothyFluegel2 ай бұрын
Thankyou Robert! There was bird nests and mice nest every where. I didn't show it but we were picking stuff out of every where when I started it and stuff was blowing out of the muffler it wasn't a surprise lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Nice 185 there, my son bought one a year ago that sat for app 12 years we didn't get as lucky as you did, I overhauled injection pump but replaced everything else in the fuel system, it was really nasty like tar almost it was terrible, but we got it up and going, it has 2130 actual hours on it and it's a late 1980 model too.
@TimothyFluegel2 ай бұрын
It sounds like you ended up with a good one, too. I can't believe how good this one runs for how long it sat. They drained the fuel tank on this one weekend they parked it which saved me alot of headache for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Love the way you showed no fear when you dove into that Roosa Master. The one on my JD needs a rebuild. $$$$
@TimothyFluegel2 ай бұрын
@4310deere thankyou, I've done a few before, so it doesn't bother me anymore, lol. The pump shop I use is called dairyland diesel. They are in Argyle Wisconsin. With these Rosa master pumps, I've never paid more than $600 to get one rebuilt. They've done 20 plus pumps for me in the past 15 years or so, and I've never had issues with one after they rebuilt it. They are a small shop 2 Mennonite guys an uncle and nefew so they don't have all the over head. Anyhow, they are great about shipping and super friendly. If you'd like to save some cash and still have quality work done, I highly suggest them.

Thank you very much. Already looked them up and found a number. I’ll give them a call.

Nice little 185. Be interesting to see how it pulls. It will probably do the 301 good to work a little bit. Thanks for the videos. Be looking forward to the next videos.
@TimothyFluegel2 ай бұрын
@douglasmayherjr.5733 thankyou Douglas. It wasn't very impressive at the pull, but the rpms were only running 1800, and my hitch was 4 inches low. But the engine didn't lose 50rpms in high 1st and 7500lbs. I'm gonna do some tweaking and see how it does next week!

I’m sure you did but after sitting that long, the air filter is probably where I would start looking, mice love to build condominiums in places like that!
@TimothyFluegel2 ай бұрын
@4310deere that was the 1st place we looked 😆 we have 2 other 100 series tractors, so I allways have extra filters around. So it got a new one right away. That's why the nose cone was off acually. There was a nice 10 bedroom condo in there at least 😆 and a birds nest in the precleaner, of course. I'm not sure what kind of bird it was, but half the nest was made out of old rusty nails 🤷♂️😆

That’s crazy! I have a gas 170 myself, Grandpa was all Orange. He bought a 185 new. His had a Year Round cab on it. It was his only diesel and only cab tractor. It was always in beautiful shape. On the air filter, I learned a great lesson last week. I have a JD 450C track loader, I bought it in 2017, I’ve only used it around my place cleaning fence rows. I never used it in any dusty conditions, the sir filters for whatever reason just weren’t something I worried about till last week when I pulled them. Previous owner had wrote 9/9/92 on the inner and 5/07 on the outer!! Mice must have mistaken the housing for a corn crib. $135 for 2 new filters but done.
@TimothyFluegel2 ай бұрын
@4310deere 😆 1992 is say you and the previous owner got the money's worth from that filter lol. It sounds like your grandpa was my kinda guy, my grandpa's big tractor was the 190 xt series 3. We still have it. It's one that will never leave the farm. We also have the 5 16s he bought with it both new at the time.

The early 190 gas has a 265, D19 had a 262, then came the 301.

I wanted to edit that part I meant to say 265 but I said 365 🤦♂️, it's kinda embarrassing honestly 😆 🤣 😂
