i only started tekken 8 last night, but the same scrub neutral bait i used in tekken 7 works here as well at green ranks works almost every time, and its harder to punish: on the FIRST FRAME of FIGHT db3, get up 4 (dont spam into tsunami kick) just the getup 4. then sidestep, they whiff as a mofo, BACK THREE, have fun :)

I picked him up in T7, tried him in all other games, but i wasn't passionate enough. now after a couple years in t7, he is reborn into a total package, sidestepping is not his primary weakness i dont think, i still think he struggles with mid range, even with the new RF df3, its good on paper, but jesus christ the mid range acid trip with some of the other chars, fucking jabs are mid range now...anyways, this video looks promising, i just started ranked last night and im already green rank, easy wins af.

Never fall into a flowchart offense, that's how you become predictable and lose half your life. Defensive play with hwoarang is how you rise the ranks, every single hwoarang player knows how to play offensively. What separates the good from the great is your defense. Hwoarang has a full throw game, not as extensive as king, or nina. Abuse the throws, tilt your opponents and force them to make a mistake. That's all I got as a Bushin Hwoarang. Good luck guys

Umm it's not supposed to be a difficult move.. Maybe you are pressing the buttons too quickly? Try pressing them slowly one after the other. Also try pressing the next input when the previous input just about to physically hit the opponent

Instead of looking out for trades in awkward scrambles just use SS4. It puts you in RFF and you can pick up with RFF 3,4 or db4

These situations come by rarely and you should be in no way or form be "looking out" for these trades lmao. If you just happen to encounter this trade, might as well make the best out of it. That's the point of the video 😉

It's not supposed to work every time. This tech can only be done during a trade, i.e. the opponent's attack hit you at the exact same frame when the D4 hits the opponent. Only then you can pick them up with db4

It's not a just frame but can get tricky with the timing as you need to do it consistently repeatedly for this challenge. I tend to do the backlash just as much in T8 as I did in T7. Despite no more full combo, it's still a high damaging power crush with very fast recovery frames that opponents can't punish easily on whiff

Yeah in T8 combos you will do more of the switch stance into backlash because it gives way more opponent airtime on hit and can easily followup with many moves that was not possible in T7. For example, now in midcombo you can easily backlash into ff4 (for heat dash). In T7 it was almost impossible to do backlash into ff4.

Same command but have slightly different properties. There's a third hit in T8 but only guaranteed if the hellsweep is CH or done during heat

I can understand him because he's playing Kazuya. Kazuya has his own Tsunami Kicks, and he knows that it's -15. His muscle memory is probably telling him "-15, punish or steal your turn back!" In the same way, I keep thinking Ling's snake edge is launch punishable because I've grown accustomed to punishing all snake edges. Ingrained muscle memory can be such an obstacle sometimes.

This Kazuya player keeps pressing buttons after my WS44 in literally every round. I ended up 6-0'ed him. Props to him for rematching after the first set tho. Hope that he watches my video and learns how to deal with this move!
