Winning the FAI Cup AND securing your place in the Premier division for another season... that, by all accounts is a GREAT season for Drogheda United and their loyal supporters. A better season than Derry, Pats and Shamrock Rovers (in my opinion). Who'd have thought that !

Derry clear out already up and running with the McEleney's switching to the Irish league and Higgins gone. If Pat's can keep their main squad together and add a few more top players they should be well equipped for a title charge. Great video lads

If Drogheda stay up they will have had a better season than Shamrock Rovers, Pats, Derry, Galway, Sligo and Waterford. Crazy that been as it's about success and they won the domestic cup despite battling relegation all season.

I was at the Athlone Town game and it was very enjoyable. Athlone shaded it for me in the ninety minutes. (Their no 2 German Fuentes looked very good, I think a certain Northside club should look for him). Unfortunately I won't make the play-offs because I'm abroad on Saturday. Drogheda have been very strong in the second half of the season. And if they can go ahead, they'll hold the lead and win comfortably. So given my track record on predictions this season, Bray will be in the top flight next year! 😅

I can't possibly comment on the Premier division, but the Cork City player that stood out for me this season is Cathal O'Sullivan. I fear he may not be a city player for long though. Watch for him next season, IF he's still playing for us.

Jake Mulraney Paddy was great for us at the back but Sean gave us massive options going forward, i completely agree with Watts, he dragged Shams back into the title challenge, Mulraney was a key part of the resurgence for Pats IMO Honorable mentions: Barrett, Coyle, Jarvis, Duffy, Hoban, Redmond, Elbouzedi, Kenny, Honohan, Amond, Slevin, Chapman, Rooney

Bought a player issue jersey ( Drinan No.15 ) today at the Cork City shop in the Douglas Shopping Centre. It was expensive ( 125 euro ), but worth owning. Hope they have a new jersey for 2025 !

Don't underestimate Finland especially away from home where they have got some good results in recent years against better teams than us. That saying, the lack of full match fitness in the squad will catch up with them the longer the game goes on. A home win is what we need. I predict 3-0 win, but any win will do. COYBIG 🇮🇪

Congratulations to Drogheda. I may travel up to Tallaght to see the playoff. The day time kickoff suits me, so I can travel home to Cork in the train. For a change Drogheda will be favourites, but as I said in another post, the game is a one off, so no outcome is guaranteed,
