I was at the Athlone Town game and it was very enjoyable. Athlone shaded it for me in the ninety minutes. (Their no 2 German Fuentes looked very good, I think a certain Northside club should look for him). Unfortunately I won't make the play-offs because I'm abroad on Saturday. Drogheda have been very strong in the second half of the season. And if they can go ahead, they'll hold the lead and win comfortably. So given my track record on predictions this season, Bray will be in the top flight next year! 😅

Winning the FAI Cup AND securing your place in the Premier division for another season... that, by all accounts is a GREAT season for Drogheda United and their loyal supporters. A better season than Derry, Pats and Shamrock Rovers (in my opinion). Who'd have thought that !

If Drogheda stay up they will have had a better season than Shamrock Rovers, Pats, Derry, Galway, Sligo and Waterford. Crazy that been as it's about success and they won the domestic cup despite battling relegation all season.
