My first ukulele was an inexpensive Aklot tenor. I had no problem watching a "how to" video and taking a dremel tool to that instrument and adding the pickup similar to your penultimate ukulele. It works great and I love having a built-in tuner that can't get lost.

Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2emmoV3gLJ6nck If you want to find things easily from only my channel, there is a search bar at the top of the channel home page (browser version, not sure what it looks like on the phone app). There are some tabs at the top for video / shorts / playlists etc, to the right is a magnifying glass, you can click that and type in a song title, artist, topic, etc

There is a section of the lesson with the words on the screen...? It starts at 9:03. Yes picking sound better to me too, I believe I mentioned that in the lesson as well. I wanted to provide both options. They aren't "my chords" - they are the chords as written in the original song. Yes it's fairly complicated and there are a lot of chords, because it's a long-ish formatted song - I didn't write it, just the messenger! ☺️

Do you need a low g to add the iconic bass line?

The bass tab the way I arranged it doesn't include the g string at all, so no, you don't need a low g... But if you have a low g, you could play this bass line a different way and then it'd be more accurate (with the octave jump). But I wrote this tab so anyone can play it regardless of which type of g they have.
