Thanks for sharing and all your videos! I struggle with back pain myself, flareups come for months at the time and the only relief I find is walking. Needless to say those months are challenging both physically and mentally as my job requires sitting, which is the most painful position. If you haven't altready I reccomend Dr. Stuart McGill and his book Back Mechanic, it has helped me quite a bit. Walking and good spine hygene is what helped me get better. Just thought to share this since noone else has. Hope this helps!

As a hobbyist who has built 10+ PCs, stick with console. I swapped recently for the simplicity and I am loving it.

I want my meta to be the same I just keep going back and forth between steam deck and ally x. I’m looking to grab the MOBA pads for my switch.

My question is what if you have externals that are self powered like a computer monitor or a powered usb hub

Here's my issue with your analysis in regards to cars. I can go onto newegg right now... and buy a prebuilt pc for 1000 dollars that will outpace a ps5 pro. The only downside at that point would be the occasionally buggy pc release, but nowadays, those get fixed pretty quickly. So at that point, the only real thing that the track car has going for it is that it can *sometimes* run new releases better than on a mid tier pc and that the entry fee is like 220 dollars cheaper, which... then gets invalidated by recurring 80 dollar internet fees and 70 dollar replacement remotes that are designed to break with their potentiometer sticks. after about 3-4 years, the pc would have been cheaper to buy, with more power and performance. (It's more like... if a company decided to charge as much for the track car as the muscle car, but did so via hidden fees.)

For me it is a PC for MMO's and big titles like Elden Ring, and a Nintendo Switch for portable gaming, gaming with my kids, and all the Nintendo exclusives. I feel like I cover 99% of all my possible gaming desires especially since I have FF16 and GoW Ragnarök sitting in my steam wishlist right now so no need for a playstation.

Dude, seriously take it from someone who’s built and owned multiple PCs and also suffers with the same brain related impulses you do…i always wind up going back to console because being a dad + how our brains work, it gets tiring as all hell trying to keep up., if you do walk that path think of it as the PlayStation is your exclusive machine and the PC and Steamdeck are where your bigger library lives

I really need a controller with a good D Pad for Mario Maker 2. I've gone through so many cheap ones and this video has helped me out quite a bit. My combo is 3070ti Laptop for FPS/competitive games, Steam deck oled for chill games and retro stuff and a PS5 for playstation titles/college football and play it handheld with the steam deck.

I own both and the steam deck just collects dust and my kid will use it sometimes lol it is unreliable lol can’t handle simple ass games like metaphor refantazio lol it ain’t it. i was gonna get a steam deck oled but honestly I think I'm just going to get the asus rog ally x. the bigger battery and better performance is hard for me to look past and I don't have a full blown console aside from a switch that I kinda just let my girlfriend use so I kinda want a handheld that I can play my PC games on without having to start over again and spending 60-70 plus on games that I already own on steam, uplauy, epic, etc. and then also use it somewhat like a mini console when I have it docked in my house or when I bring it over to friends houses' and that extra performance is gonna be awesome for those moments. Also installing emulators on it is gonna be so much better than steam deck

For me Nintendo switch for nintendo exclusives cause ipp always want to play mario, zelda and pokemon games and a PC. Personally i do not like having too many choices because then i get choice paralysis. If i have 30 mins to game while my sons are napping i grab my switch and get after some mario games. If me and the guys(other dads) plan out a friday or Saturday night gaming not i hop on my pc for a few hours.

Looking to upgrade my PC in the next six months. Also looking to get a ps5 pro, this will actually be my first Playstation, and i kimda just want the fancier one. Might get a psv2 once a sale pops up. Enjoy your break! What Manga are you feading?

I bought a referbed lcd steam deck, and this is my first gaming machine in 5 years. It truly brought me back into this hobby. This machine easly handles the games i play which mostly are Factorio, Rimworld, and Project Zomboid.

Do you think the PlayStation portal will get better with time. Because I’m really enjoying using it even with the limitations right now

Dont believe anything microsoft say, they said they would never stop backwards compatibility and never stop adding games to it. Suppose they realised people who didnt keep the hard copies of their old games didnt want to re buy them so they just fobbed it all off completely for the subscription

Great logic. I bought a motorcycle years ago, it wasn't the one I truly wanted. Every time I rode it I thought about the one I truly wanted. This still bugs me 10+ years later. All because I made the economical choice instead of the heart felt one.

I was going to go ps5 pro coupled with steam deck but I hate having my library of games split amongst multiple platforms so instead I think Im going for PC/Deck Main with base Ps5/Switch for exclusives. But I was fortunate to get into PC by buying a hand me down Pc from family member so I have a good starting point to expand on. I hate having to decide where I will buy my games and want to take that decision out of the equation if at all possible.

Desktop PC for the high frame rate, high visual triple A titles. Steamdeck for the older titles and indie games to crack away at the ol steam library backlog

Glad you’re finding the right fit. I do enjoy having a fully fit PC for multi platform games. But the PS5 still has great exclusives. I also still prefer physical copies so that’s something.

The Meta will be the switch 2 only. For now, it’s switch and pc/deck.

The best honestly is what you enjoy imo. I use a steamdeck, switch, and PS5. I use my steamdeck mainly for emulation. It is absolutely outstanding for it.

I know you’ve said you’re not a fan of Chiaki, but the PS5 + Steam Deck combo has been killer for me. Play the stuff that can run on the Deck there (recently did the new Prince of Persia) and play what can’t run natively on the Deck on my TV or on the Deck through Chiaki based on what life allows at that time (played through FF7 Rebirth and FF16 that way with probably 70 percent of the time on my Deck). It’s been a killer combo
