Well a guitar cable will more than likely cause that problem, especially if its low grade. You can still run an unbalanced cable but the quality of the cable will determine a lot. My Neve 8816 has unbalanced outputs and my CLA-10's have unbalanced inputs. You're not wrong in that a balanced cable will be better over long runs etc, but if you use a low grade mic cable to do that you will see a similar problem to your guitar cable scenario. If you want the best quality and experience end to end look at Mogami, Van Damme, Kelsey Acoustics etc. They all produce high grade shielded cabling which you could configure as balanced or unbalanced depending on the application. More specifically they produce different types of cable depending on the application i.e mic, instrument, studio patch, etc. You also need to consider the connectors being used. I would always reccomend Neutrik or Rean connectors but they are pricey. Check out these guys in the UK www.designacable.com - You can ask them any questions and they know their stuff!

I have bus’s, aux, and sends in my template plus the analog emulation (Consoles and Tape Machines) + separate Parallel compression tracks in my template. sometimes I feel like I got the ultimate template.

I don't understand what is the point of an Instrument Buss, when their is an MIX BUSS ? I Don't understand this. Also I wanted to ask about some console Emulation on the indivdual tracks for that console sound . Everything is fine , just that one buss ( Indtrumental Buss) .
@audioedges8 күн бұрын
Thank you! The Instrumental Bus allows for you to add bus processing on the instruments individually, and the vocals individually from each other as a whole, before hitting the Mix Bus. Sometimes I'll have a plugin or two on just the instruments, and then finish the processing of instruments and vocals together on the Mix Bus. Sometimes I won't have anything on the Instrumental Bus at all, which then is same as going straight through to the Mix Bus. Essentially, it's just an extra step of flexibility if you need it before you sum everything together, and can also be helpful when bouncing versions. Hope that helps :)

Why use a Bus instead of just sidechaining from the Kick track directly?

You should have installed those with an air gap behind the panel same as the panel thickness for the most effectiveness.

I'm not sure where this idea came from that the kick and bass are 'enemies'. There's no real reason to duck one for the other. That's why there are two instruments. Let them constructively interact.

Just wondering why you use a send when you can just react directly to the kick, the send means there’s two kick signals now
