Josh, thanks for taking the time to be as detailed as possible and also thanks for the script. I have two questions for you, hope you could answer it for me. First, when you run the disk I/O Benchmark, It is possible to tell sysbech in which directory to put the test files? Are the test files generated by the disk I/O benchmark deployed only in the directory where the sysbench or the script is executed? Does locate in a specific directory the test files generated by the disk I/O benchmark makes any sense? Second, if I'm benchmarking a LVM disk, Does benchmarking any of the Logical volumes in the volume group give me an accurate outlook for the performance of the whole physical volume?

Thanks Josh. Excellent video. Very easy to follow. Would have been more helpful to have the commands in the description, but apart from that, you made something tricky pretty straightforward. Much appreciated.

Yes- great instructions! From what I gather though the 'Docker Desktop' for RHEL releases is still a work in progress if you wanted to see if you can install it.

Thanks that was interesting. I dont use command line cause I dont know this stuff. See I am starting to have memory issues due to my age and health issues. I used to know commands for windoze back in the day but cant learn this but now that I know its there when I need to wipe a hd I will try it. Thanks again. Ps my first pc was an xt running dos 3.1 with a 10 meg hd and a 360k floppy.

I'm a developer. Certs are useless for us. But I still do them because they direct my learning. A cert test gives me a goal and an outline of subjects to learn with books, videos, and other supporting materials. Certs have helped me a lot.

Your installer is different from mine, I have the new Kubuntu 24.04, why cant Ubuntu make installation straight forward like Linux, it is so annoying when you sea a distro that looks good and you want to install you have to manually partition your drive. I did that before and wiped out windows on my internal hard drive, this is what keeps me away from ubuntu, i cant be doing with with it at my age. I just want a plug and play.

Yeah, this is unnecessarily cumbersome, Ubuntu’s fault not your fault. The option to do this under the Ubuntu desktop Network Manager works much better and more reliably. Ubuntu Server should have something better than this, not worse.😮
