Should dwell time be long or short? Long indicates user engagement and short indicates goal completion. Which does google's algorithm require / optimize for? Or does it depend on search intent?

Everything is wonderful, but apparently I don't qualify for any of the advice :( My business is a sex shop in Bulgaria and it is, to put it mildly, impossible for backlinks or almost anything else. How do I proceed in this niche? Or should I sell and focus on something else?! Thanks :)

Unfortunately, that will change once OpenAI releases AGI agents later this year. OpenAI is about to leap 10 years ahead of where we are now, depressing stuff.

I work as a content marketing specialist at an SEO agency; I'm a noob in this career. Recently, the blog I’m responsible for has seen a broad decline in traffic. On the one hand, this is partly because we’re in the off-season, so search volumes for all our keywords are lower, which in turn has reduced traffic to my older posts. On the other hand, my newer posts are hardly ranking in the top 20 at all, which may indicate that the quality of those posts isn’t up to scratch. Watching your video was a real eye-opener. I realised I wasn’t addressing searchers’ queries or solving their problems quickly enough in my blog posts. Over the next few weeks, I’m planning to experiment with a new approach to writing-perhaps by offering the key answer or solution right in the introduction. Thank you very much for your video; it’s been extremely helpful!

Hello there! been wondering lately, does SEO make a good money and does it worth it to learn in our current situation which AI now dominates. Im 18 btw and searching an online job. I appreciate your reply:)

@@dondylao I believe SEO is still a growing industry, although AI has certainly had an impact, particularly on content creation. For example, I used to spend a significant amount of money hiring writers to produce articles for backlinks. These days, however, I can achieve much the same outcome by using AI and then making minor edits myself. Nevertheless, there are still areas where human involvement remains essential. By way of illustration, my main responsibility is content marketing, which means I must plan the content for my writers-deciding on keywords, selecting topics, and drafting outlines. At present, AI can’t simply step in and handle all of that. However, I wouldn’t recommend this industry. Speaking from personal experience, the pay is rather low. I work at least 40 hours a week in the office, yet my salary only amounts to about 1,300 US dollars per month. By comparison, in my previous job (translating Spanish football news into Chinese and then posting it on Chinese social media), I only worked about 20h/week but earned close to 1k USD.

@ Sorry, I might not have any particularly useful advice for you on this. I've never tried to make a good amount of money, nor is it something I aspire to. The reason I work at an SEO agency is that after returning to China last year, a former university classmate of mine from Spain (who is also Chinese) started this company and offered me this job. Although my take-home pay isn't high, my company covers significant social insurance and other public expenses for me. My dream is simply to live an ordinary life-without excessive stress, earning just enough to keep myself fed and clothed. Hope you can find out your bright shiny future!!!

So, Matt, I did the topical map prompt in Chat Gpt and spit out 300+ article ideas, but my problem was that most of the topics I wrote on, 25+ articles, had no search rankings after 6+ months. I also used Surfer AI to write the blog post and optimized each article to get the scores on Surfer up to 70+. How does one fix this without doing hella backlinking? Or does it depend on the niche? Mine is in the pet niche.

I would to watch video that you are actually explain about website that has a few number of post which post will be more before the other for give it backlink How much it should be for one week And it will be 2 backlinks for one post and the another one another post And so on like this example.. in my website Im skeptical about how many backlinks should be for which post before the other post. What is the priority for it to appear organic to Google? To this day I am still very skeptical about these matters of implementing backlinks.

Ah, 2025 SEO, where brand search volume is apparently the new holy grail? I mean, if I start my own conference and get a "Matt Diggity" keyword going, will Google start ranking me higher? 😂 And don’t even get me started on the "cheap engagement ads" - because that definitely doesn't sound like playing with fire! But hey, Matt, what’s next? Should I just start throwing around high-end backlinks like confetti to get that SEO sweet spot? Let's discuss - do you think this strategy will actually work for everyone, or is it a total gamble?

Getting organic traffic via SEO in 2025 has massivelty changed. Increasing branding for a typical small business with budget limitations is going to be challenging. Google has come full circle. They are not intestered in helping businesses with organic traffic. They are an advertising platform. I agree with you in that website owners will need to find ways to get traffic to their sites outside of SEO.
