I'm a high handicapper too, so far be it from me to give anyone pointers. FWIW, I would just like to point out something I noticed. On your full iron shots in at least the first half of this round, there were lots of instances where during your backswing, the angle of your back went way more vertical than during other shots. You seemed to stand up during your backswing. On your good shots, the angle of your back seemed to stay consistent throughout the backswing. Check out 23:52 as an example.

Good ball striking. (except for 18) Then you said I'm not that guy. That was funny. Golf will do that to us. I don't know how many times I've gotten to the 18th hole needing par to shoot even par and the game said, Not today loser. Anyway. I'm probably done for the season. Rotator cuff and right elbow are sore. I'm looking at putting a cheap simulator in my garage I just built. So, when the soreness gets better. I can get some swings in. Should be fun. Keep the videos coming. Winter is long in Ohio.

Oh yeah. I'm loving that baby fade. I know it's not as pretty as a high draw but it sure is easier to play. It's was Jack Nicklaus's go to shot shape. So, yeah, If Jack was ok playing it and it's easier. I can play it.

I started out (kindof) on Titleist dci 981s and still have them today. It all started by having a complete train wreck of a round with a set of Callaway warbirds(owned for about 2 weeks), and as usual i was walking into the edge of the woods for my ball when i came across an old club in the woods with a slightly split grip, noting it had been there for several weeks, i knew no one was looking for it and decided to use it out of a joke/frustration. BANG! absolute pure missile off leaves and dirt straight down the fairway about 175 yards.. i turned to my brother with jaw dropped like "wtf just happened" and i looked down to see a bold 4 on the bottom of the club head. The very next day i bought a used set off Ebay for 150 bucks, regripped, straightened, and i never looked back.

My brother plays at Westhoughton....right by Bolton....and says the course is quite muddy also. Way too much rain over there....lol. So, what do you think were the key things that contributed to your improved score? I noted that your tee and approach shots were pretty consistently nice and straight, even if not with perfect accuracy. That, in itself, gave you many shots at good scores, regardless of how well your chipping and putting was. I find that golfers all too often get all caught up in the drama of short game....which comes and goes, on the whole. The way you played your tee and fairway shots set you up for a great chance to make a nice leap in scores, in my opinion. Chipping is an aspect you can often improve...and esp using your mind to visualize where you want the ball to land...and especially if you're ever playing sloped greens. Your course, on the whole, looks pretty flat, though. I ignore all the drama you use to sell your video to people.....lol....as, to me, it's irrelevant to playing the game.

The whole round my swing felt super fluid. And normally when I’ve felt great off the tee, I’ve usually been awful on and around the greens. This day I felt like everything was firing.
