From water it's not 2 club lengths, you can go back as far as you want from point of entry. Done yourself on that hole. But some great shots. You are are roughly same level as myself. Give me a shout if you want a wee round at Haggs Castle up in Glasgow.

Mate. Some cracking golf on show. You hit a great shot even after doing yourself a dis service. Pretty sure when you dump it in water you can drop ball as far back as you like providing you stay in line with point of entry .

Congrats on the great round! Your putting has definitely improved and those greens would be anxiety inducing for me they were so fast. Also I noticed that your 89 round had 10 fewer putts than the 99 you carded just before it, and that the main improvement between the two rounds was probably in your chipping and the longer putts getting closer to the holes. Meaning you had fewer long putts and shorter short putts. well done.

Well played Dennis I played Maxstoke a couple weeks ago and the greens destroyed me as well 😂 I don’t think I’ve played a course with faster greens than that place but I still shot under my handicap 😊 finished my round on 96 which I was happy with as my golf wasn’t the best on the day but I’m getting there as are you 👍 So far this year I’ve gone from 25.8 down to a 21.3 handicap still haven’t broke 90 but it’ll come 😊 Keep the golf coming my friend

I am a member at Maxstoke Park, It’s a very tough course and can punish you if not playing well, with some long challenging par 4’s and all the par 3’s are never easy to get at. It’s one of those courses you have to play a few times to know where you can and cannot miss. Greens are always immaculate and very quick in the summer. If you get through the first 5 holes not too many over you can score well. Great review though 👍

Mate I love your content! I got 2 tips...take them or not. Never count your score....it creates unneeded pressure. 2/ on the greens, use a marker and align your ball...

Your head is coming up and turning left early through the shot. That’s why you pull to the left. Stay over the ball and release at the target with your head as the director to point the rest of your body to the target. Your body follows the head on follow through

I tried lining up for a while and struggled with the lining up and trusting the line from above. (Didn’t help my putting). But no harm in trying it again 💪

@@BogeyGolfUK just think it would be an aid in helping to learn the way you read putts. Get some balls with very obvious alignment aids (taylormade stripe springs to mind), line it up and hit it along that line. Even if it doesnt go in, you have instant feedback whether you hit a good putt as it will roll end over end. Then you can start to workout if you over or under read puts. At the minute you have minimum feedback and it just seems more like chance if it goes in or not
