The planning you go through. On a trip, I'm lucky if I am 100% sure of the direction I'm heading, much less all the mapped out stops. Unless it's a Waffle House or IHOP. I keep pretty close tabs on them. Cell phones in pocket for me. My daughter that introduced me to you send her prayers also. Not one for commenting and like me cannot give a thumbs up on such videos. We both admire you getting out there especially the camping. Writers use a semicolon because there is more to come. Granted it was three inch rock but I to still can get nervous on gravel driveways. When I drove a mixer truck out plant's yard was 3" rock as was our remote mixer in the field and since I ride everywhere that means dealing with it to park for work. You are not alone, none of us enjoy riding on gravel! We just stay in low gear, stay off the front brake and don't try to strong arm control. 2024 had it's tragedies so let's look up for a better 25 and strengthen our prayers. That's the type of camping i like. A cabin or tent cabin. Looks like a great place to stay. The gravel, soft sand on a tall bike is tough. No shame after your accident. I'm glad you put a tribute to your BFF. I know the sudden death of someone close. My oldest daughters mom was sudden. She will always be with you in her spirit. The pain of losing someone close is tough in the very beginning. As time goes by, you will still have those moments , it feels like it just happened. I call it the ballon in the box. When its new, the pain of touching a balloon is painful. Then the balloons start to deflate and get smaller. So you can avoid the pain. But they are still there, and once in a while, you will touch one and , it will feel like it just happened. Prayers to her family and friends.

Something is definitely not right if the battery is that weak after 2 weeks of no riding. I also have 2 bikes, one I ride way more than the other. I keep them both hooked up to a battery tender when not in use all year long. It’s normal when you first hook up the tender to the bike that it goes into charging mode then to full charge after a short time. Having a good battery tender is key to maintaining the battery. Enjoy the Georgia snow.

@@erichh3663 I appreciate the feedback. After calling the dealership twice for the same problem: dead battery, they cane to haul the bike but giving me a new battery required a little more convincing. They made it right in the end, but apparently it’s not uncommon to have that issue with all their electronics.

@@Sowatha13 good to hear they gave you another battery, hopefully the issue is now resolved. 🤞 Living in the northeast the bikes can be tough to start in the really cold weather even with a fully charged battery. Good luck, can’t wait for Spring! Lol
