We rode the area last year about this time. Maggie valley to Robbinsville, NC. Tail of the dragon into TN, turned toward Knoxville headed east to Bland VA, Rode the George Washington National forest 635 in the valley to Paint Bank VA. (Absolutely gorgeous ride) Then headed to the head of the BRP and rode it back to Tuggles Gap then headed south to Home. Somewhere around 1500 miles. We were going to do a similar trip this year but it's not gonna happen.

Sharing this ride with you Lovely Ladies is a real joy. Lately though I did ask a Lady to join me for dinner and we've had several rides since. You don't think much of it when you ride alone that there is never someone consistent across from you when you sit down for a meal. Camping everywhere I ride limits my contact with you humans. It has been a couple years since I did a group ride for a destination, those rides do leave lasting memories. I will continue to pray for your healing Sweet Lady. I'm no stranger to being burned and it is never good. What a blessing for that young lady to come across you. I will pray she ends up in your class and begins a wonderful life on two wheels and opening her friends list along the way. Hello Sowatha, How did you burn your wrist? Was it a cooking accident? I have read that Vinegar and egg whites should be applied right away. I had to google what Pescetarianism is. The only fish that I eat are fish that I catch and clean myself. I will pass on any fish from a store or restaurant with the Exception of Shrimp, Lobster and Crab. I will eat those three in a restaurant. I was thinking how terrible and painful you burn must be, Then I remembered that my Wood Stove Blew up in my face 4 years ago. I am so lucky I wearing reading glasses. They protected my eyes from direct flams and direct hot ash. The Fire had been out for over 4 hours. I was stirring the ash which was actually old Magazines that I soaked in used motor oil and diesel fuel to make them burn better and to recycle used motor oil into heat for my shop. The skin on my neck face and one ear sort of just fell off. The next day My New Snowmobile arrived Via UPS but I could not try it on for almost two weeks because of my burnt skin. When I watch Videos like this, I often add the address of Landmarks or interesting Tourist spots into my phone. Then when I am on a Trip, I can quickly put the address into my Garmin GPS, I have the Zumo 396 with a smaller screen than you have. I purchase a small 4 OZ can of Bel Ray Tacky Chain Lube to carry in my top case. I have the 12 OZ cans to use in my shop. In the Good ole days it came in 16 OZ cans, I bought a Case of that Chain Lube for my dirt bikes, but it's all foamy and makes a huge mess. The New Style Bel-Ray Super Tacky Chain Lube goes on wet and runny with a solvent in it. Then the solvent evaporates and it's far less messy. One place on my List to visit is the Wheels Through Time Motorcycled Museum in Magie Valley. There is a KZbin channel called "The Application Channel" They Feature all of the Old Style Country Stores that are still open. Some have been around for 100 years. I plan to stop and visit some of them on my next Trip to Tail of the Dragon. Also those Parks all have hiking Trails. You can get a bit stiff on long rides. I like to go for a hike or a run. Then I just jump in the River if I had gotten all sweaty. I carry my running Sandals with me. Your Feet get rather clammy in water proof riding shoes, so it's nice to let your feet breath at the end of the day. I liked your map that showed the Topography and the route you took. Is that an app? Have a Great Day , Mark

Hey Mark! I burned my wrist with hot oil trying to cook. Poured the oil on the pan , not realizing how long it had been on the hot stove and it caught on fire. The flame got so big, I thought my kitchen was going to catch on fire, so when I picked up the pan, the hot oil spilled all over my wrist. The first thing I put on it was toothpaste as it helped cool the burn down until I could get some rx silverdene a week later 🤦♀️. I’m sorry to read about your burns. They seemed more intense than mine.

Why the Garmin and not use your Iphone for navigation?
@Sowatha133 ай бұрын
Good question. All 4 had garmins, so we could all follow the same map. There have been many instances in the past where I would ride with a friend going to the same place, I would take a left and she would take a right because we had different GPS. Also, I use my phone a lot for pictures and videos, so it’s just easier for me to use the Garmin strictly for GPS. However, you could technically just use your phone. Also, using my phone for GPS would use a lot of battery power and I would have to keep it charged to the 12v power outlet most of the time but also needed to use the 12v for the instant360 cam as well. Finally, it’s good to have a back up GPS. Last year, my phone came off its’ case (was not a quad lock), and got runner over by several cars.
