Looks amazing, one of the best I've seen at this point. I love this FMV, one of the best openings from one of the best videogames ever in my opinion. The "problem" with this this video is there's lots of movement with many feathers and flowers, so due to the heavy compression used back in the day for the PS1 or the PC version it will always have artifacts... Too bad, such a masterpiece of art... If only Square would've saved the assets or a higher quality version... Or someone can recreate it someday being as faithful as possible. Maybe AI will someday get good enough to clean it completely, or even recreate it by itself, though I seriously doubt it. We'll see, I guess... Anyway, meanwhile, this is good, thanks a lot!

Looks nice, but I don't like the new Squall face. Too animey. One of the many things I love about FFVIII over other similar videogames is it was very serious and realistic in the graphics or rather the character looks or proportions. Squall looks too young-I know he WAS young in FFVIII, but still... I just don't like it, he looks bratty. This is going backwards to being more childish and less mature, less believable. So... Wish someday someone “fixes” this. Rinoa looks amazing tho for in-game graphics. Thanks.

What I don't understand about the PC version, regardless if original 1999 CDs or Steam, how the heck did they manage to keep the polygons so unstable? It's the only reason the PC version looks so horrible. All the polygons keep warping and getting distorted on top of the broken texture maps.

The music is horrible. All those fan remixes are nothing but noise.

Long time memories... i found the funniest strategy to play it risky and have all of the chars at low health and use limit breaks all the time. So much fun with ff8! Wp👍

Bahamut, doomtrain and Gilganesh should be the only gf of disk 3. It would be so cool get a summon Gilgamesh with 1/4 probability to instant kill an enemy but never a boss. The two other gf should be Ultima Weapon and Griver on disk 4. Griver was obtained after the buttle with Ultimecia, there were some bonus quest after game. Olso on disk 2 Edea used Akexander to fight during the battle. Livithian obtain after a cave opened on the secret lake quest, but you need disk 2 to obtain it. Siren obtain through a battle in the third dream disk one, or on disk 3 on Lunatic Pandora.

I always thought the green rocks were materia and deepnsea lab's scientist just discovered a mako well and didn't knew what it was but the planet created a weapon and killed them all thus abandoning the island. This is a nice throwback to ff7.

i played the game once for like 20 minutes at my cousin's place when i was like 7 some day when i was like 18-20 ish my brain was like "remember that game? was some rad shit right?" alongside some other games he also had like i think RE 3(mb2 idk) and some other game that i already forgot about again where you are also a strapping young anime boi beating up some demons and sprout blood wings? or something? all i remembered about chaos legion at the time was: shit tons of enemies cool looking summons (from my 7yo self's perspective) and some anime dude with a red arm and chaos legion not being all that well known it took some while finding it while googling for shit like "ps2 game where with handsome dude who summons demons edit: i found the blood wing game, its nanobreaker and its ass, at least from the bit (4 hours ish) that i played of it on an emulator like a year ago
