Butt packs where very uncommon later in the war rucksacks are definitely preferred although the market is really bad for them right now you could always get away without using one and make your kit off a tiny patrol or combat. Yes they mostly used bandoliers as their main pouch to carry mags although you still see ammo pouches scattered throughout the whole entire war.

@@Kenner_konnor thanks man my great uncle was in WW2 he passed away I have his helmet his bayonet for his m1 and a few of his metals he died in 1944 on a Belgium ship going to France or Normandy it was two ships the one that sinked was the SS Leopoldville it got hit by a German torpedo from the submarine 5 miles from the ship 802 soldiers were killed. but yeah I wanted to do somewhat of a impression I collect ww2 so it shouldn't be that hard for me to get stuff
