Aside from the spring being too strong and the plastic brittle, it's too new. If this stayed in the box a few more years, the spring would've weakened in that position and when you open the canopy, it wouldn't snap open as fast as it would brand new. So either you open it up to bend the spring to weaken it, or leave it in the box a few years. Alternatively, do not open the canopy without blocking it from hitting full open position. This way no stress is ever placed suddenly on the hinge when it fully opens.

Look at the ooze puddles on all the battle bases. They all have a different design.

That sucks. They have them in stock at Walmart. You could go get a new one and just return the old one. McFarlane isn't known for their customer service or I'd suggest contacting them.

Have to admit as a die hard ninja turtle toy collector the storage shell reissues are pretty much excellent but the movie star figures are terrible compared to the originals except the movie star villains figures which are considered excellent replicas of the originals that's my opinion.

UPDATE, May 29th, 2024: I just tried to remove the good wing, and the same piece (ball joint) broke on that one, too. No excessive force from me. It was as easy to break as a piece of a toasted pastry. NOW I HAVE TWO BROKEN WINGS 😔 💸 Same thing happened to me, different situation. Mine fell from 2 meter-height, and nothing damaged except for same part of the wing. I glued it with "crazy glue", but then it fell again just to break again. IT IS A PERMANENT DAMAGE! SUPER 7 SUX THE BIG ONE!!! 😡

I really love my Elvira figures however I wish NECA would have made her legs without a joint so they would look better. let's be honest . One of the reasons why we even are in love with Elvira is because of her gorgeous legs. Maybe NECA will release a 1/6 figure with knee legs. 🤞🏻

the STAR was on the show...every time the lions combined. It showed the formation of all 5 (5-pointed star) into one (center of the star)

Just rewatched to combination scene. There's actually a pentagram in the cockpit of the black lion. Never noticed that before.

Yeah, I see it as just a symbol of the 5 lions becoming one. There was a bunch of complaints from parents apparently about the witch and the pentagrams in the show back when it first aired. I can't imagine what would have happened if they showed the uncut Go-Lion.

I have collected a lot of their ultimates since the beginning. And I haven't done any reviews in a while because I don't like being negative all the time. Super7 makes that difficult. The quality on their products are just so inconsistent.

This review sums up everything I've been feeling about Super7 stuff lately -- so many little missteps that seem easily avoided for a company like Super7 who has been at this as long as they've been and have shown in the past that they can nail these details.

The juice from a huckleberry will result in a more pinkish ice cream than the purple-blue you get with blueberry. Thank you for the detailed reviews on these. I've been holding off on getting them as there haven't been a lot of solid in depth reviews of these -- knocked these up on my shopping list now that I have a better sense of them.

The granny pants tend to rot eventually. These figures are more designed for posing in limited ways and not meant for play or lots of heavy duty posing. I think of them as Staction figures that have a bonus of being able to be posed a bit. The neck is pretty bad for the Baroness but I remember the QC is that of a Mattel or Hasbro. It’s a mass produced figure - well it would be if it wasn’t a niche line. To get them to the level we’d like they would be double the price. I know some people think we deserve better QC and those concerns but this will probably not sell much more than 1,000 units. A typical Marvel Legends or Star Wars Black Series or G.I. Joe: Classified figure will sell 10-20,000 units for half the price.

Super7 sells their ultimates with poseabilty and play baked into the design. If they were intended to not be posed and played with, then they shouldn't include the ridiculous number of accessories. That being said the quality of the Ultimates varies greatly from license to license. I've had very minimal issues with TMNT, and constant breaks and returns with MMPR. The Joes so far are lower mid at best. Super7 charges a premium collector price because they can, not because they have to. They don't have to follow the stringent guidelines that companies like Mattel or Hasbro have to in order sell to children. I agree that they don't USUALLY produce anything near the numbers needed for mass retail, but even super7 wouldn't bother going into production for a measley 1000 units. Those are event exclusive numbers at best. They produced nearly 2400 and 3300 units respectively of the thunder tank and party wagon, and those pieces were exceptionally expensive. Not to mention I have found many ultimates for sale at large vendors like best buy and Walmart. Including this Baroness. At the time, super7 was backlogged tremendously on preorders, and I believe they cut corners on certain products to expedite delivery and focused on the lines that were the most profitable. 10 to 20 thousand units are McFarlane numbers, certainly not Mattel or Hasbro numbers. You can double and triple it or even more depending on the line.

I picked up all 4 of the boys and decided id wait until the week after to puck up splinter and a foot soldier and they've never been back at any walmart in 100 miles of my location 😂

They have been repacking earlier figures in with newer waves, but playmates has been focusing on 02' turtles and mirage style right now. Hope they keep doing vintage still, but I haven't seen any in ages.

Neca loads up the accessories and charges around 30$ to 35& for their ultimates so Super7 can do it to for 35-40$. Btw Destro is wearing a tanish/orange shirt underneath the black and red outfit not bare skin chested because no human has orange skin just saying. The mask is from his ancestry and is only for a extra display piece. The rocket launcher was from an episode with Storm Shadow and the Excalibur sword that he found. I was going to get some of these but I’m deep into the classified series and have all the respective characters and figures of the ones from super7 except the classic outfit Snake Eyes

Within 10 seconds after removing it from the box, the damn canopy broke after one push. Fortunately it was on clearance but still, I'm disappointed in McFarlane for the poor quality. Angry 🤬 Update: I was able to super glue the broken pieces together & added an extra layer of glue so it wouldn't break again. I couldn't put back the spring so now I have to manually open the canopy. Other than that, it works & looks fine.

Dude...the short sword scabbard is attached at the factory. It is...unfortunately... held in place by a separate tie. Why? Who the hell knows. I just about ripped mine off before I saw the tie down. Great figure...good video. Liked and subscribed.

Use an exacto knife to open those package so you can place the figure back to the package.

I pre-ordered this and baroness two years ago. Haven't got them yet. The store told me yesterday they are 100% getting it but some delay with super7 but gave me the option to cancel order and refund. I don't know what to do and am here watching your review. Should I just get my money back?

Too bad the faces are so ugly, they look like a potato with fried fish eyes, the arms are too small or the legs too big but it's disproportionate. The dress is not puffy enough and the shoes should be light brown, not yellow. In short, the idea is excellent but it is poorly designed. The cat is cute as are the accessories. About 50 usd is expensive for a doll with so many flaws.
