Oh goodness no, they had already started buying 520 Labries and making the 320 RRs spares. Then when Waste Connections bought them in certain the Volvos got scrapped

I thoroughly enjoyed this, from the grunt and whine sound to the carts and seeing how they actually sorta worked okay with the grippers. The scenery was super cool and despite the wind, I thought you did a fine job on this. Also really enjoyed the operating style of the driver, combining undump with lower functions. 6:40 was a great display of the springs working how they are supposed to, where he readjusted and got the correct grip. Never would have thought recology would send these carts up there, and it's uncommon to see haulers sub for one another so I found that fascinating too. Awesome job

Thank you! Yeah the EVR II’s did not have the best performance with the dual grippers, a few times I thought we were going to loose some 90s in the hopper, the 60 Otto’s did better in my opinion. I believe they automated it so they could send a split truck out there after they bought out the Ratto Group back in 2018, but after about 6 months they realized it was a waste of time and money to send their own guys and equipment out there and SWOW had a good relationship with Recology. Recology wanted to just hand over the contract to SWOW but the city of Pt. Arena didn’t like the rate increase proposal by us so the contract went up for bid (no one bid on it) so recology is currently still stuck with contract which is still being sub contracted by what is now C&S/Redwood Waste Solutions. That's a rairty for Republic over there to rent a Python considering they don't run the arm model down there. You would think it would be a rental ZR or Rapid Rail. What trucks do they normally run again? Maybe availability or pricing at Big Truck Rental had something to do with it, who knows. Did the driver like the arm?

They primarily run rapid rails with an occasional ZR. And the Curottos run in Rancho. They also have a rental Automizer and Sidewinder. I’m guessing it was whatever BTR had available. No, he said he much prefers the rapid rail arms over the Python

Wish big truck rental numbered these the same way Rush Refuse does. Would love to find out if one of these videos feature the same vehicle I filmed back in 2022 since it wasn’t around our yard for very long. Always love watching pythons. It’s a shame no one seems to buy them out here unless they are second hand
