I bought my IJ carpet python because I walked into my local pet shop and the workers were pinning him down with hooks and grabbing him by the head. They told me he was crazy. 6 months later he's a down right sweetheart my toddlers hold. Nurture can make a difference

When you said she went to your chest for warmth..😢 that got to me. You know, I look back over the friends I've had over the years and the people I've met or didn't know but we were there for an event or party. ..I remember many of those places I visited had snakes. If I knew then, what I know now...I think I would have had to say or do something about how they were neglecting and mistreated those poor animals. I saw snakes in shoe boxes and fish bowls. I saw them in wire cages with nothing covering those metal bars. I've seen snakes with no hides, no heat lamps. I've seen snakes kept at eye level with big dogs staring at them and one was drooling... can you imagine how terrified that poor snake was? I'm sorry I didn't know then what I know now. Tim you are without question one of the kindest most intelligent and interesting man I've met here in KZbin'sville. Your knowledge of your animals is more than impressive! It's always a pleasure watching your vlogs. I'm certain you have helped HUNDREDS of people who didn't know how to house and keep their snakes and all of their other pets. You give so freely from your heart and in today's world, that is rare and appreciated. I don't have any reptiles so I watch people that do. Thank you for all you do to improve and enhance the world you live in. Your audience had TRIPPLED since the first vlog I met you on, that horrible massacre that happened awhile ago. The pain and heartbreak you felt transmitted, I bet was felt throughout the world of snake lovers and Guardians. You helped people to know what to do... and that's when I first watched you and I've watched EVERY VIDEO you've made since. You're awesome!❤ p.s. Bob looks great.. I'm not sure if you used my suggestion to name him Bob or someone elses... I'm going to think you picked mine...(but i know you didnt coz i just said Bob and Not "silent Bob ")😅😊

Good day to you, Tim. Congrats on almost being at 10k subs! That's awesome man. I really enjoy your videos and I'm really happy that your channel is growing and reaching a wider audience. People need animal channels in their lives and your channel should be a staple in everyone's sub list. Enjoy your day, brother.

Silent Bob's philosophy is as follows: When in danger and in doubt...run in circles, scream and shout! 😤

Falling all over myself and snorting coffee out of my nose as I take in that FABULOUS boojie habitat! 🤯🤠🥳 And you know what? I have a surplus to need China cabinet in my barn and a growing carpet python who might really enjoy it. How did you approach the problem of water leakage and humidity? I'm in Arizona and out natutural single or very low double digit humidity makes that an ongoing concern. I really depend on cypress mulch to hold a lot of moisture for a long time. And I have to have a humidifier banging out, but it's still pretty tough. 🤔😊😃

Maybe it's truly an introvert extrovert thing with Bob. I am introverted and hate going literally anywhere. But once I get there, i'm so glad someone convinced me to go. 😊

Tim, my comment is this, everyone told me to stay away from blood pythons because the stigma is “they’re nasty and defensive and not good pets”, but I tell ya what, I got her 2-3 weeks ago now and she’s been nothing but a dream, she’s only 10 months old and has yet to take a shot at me or hiss at me, none of my snakes have besides my little puney cali king snake, I was expecting my BCC or Burm to take a shot at me but never 😂

Snakes are snakes. And they will be just fine of you don't annoy them. Treat them right, make sure they live in the right environment, and they will be hanging around just fine. Just as with every animal. And individual animals will be calmer or more anxious, will be more defensive or more friendly.

I have a Burmese Python who by nature is a flailing, biting - the bight where he is so enraged he will not let go. I can unwrap him and have resorted to a bit of Vodka to encourage him to let me go. He has perfect conditions, he is well fed, and has had patience, slow movement, respect and kindness from me. I was told by his breeder he was never going to be handleable. I can hold him, bring him outside, have a good session with him, but then he goes into his I am going to kill you mode when I put him down. He is a handsome Albino, putting on size at almost 3 years old. Worry that his next owner will be unkind to him. I am 74, tiny, slim and still strong. How can this snake have a good life, while not killing me?

That's a tough call, my knee jerk reaction us that if it were me I would find someone that wanted to trade-up a more mellow animal. I know for me I enjoy working with tougher animals so there may be other folks that are good with an arrangement like that. Have to think of your own safety first.

@@IntrepidExotics Do you know anyone who would be willing to work with my snake. I am willing to pay them. I have worked with snakes, feral cats, defensive biting ferrets and minks. This is my first failure and all I want is for Sunshine is a contented life without fear. Perhaps another idea is to leave him alone and carry him from one enclosure to a clean one when needed, but I believe in snake enrichment instead of being contained all of the time.
