Great video boss, checked all the boxes for me, which is kind of a unicorn: Contained actual, useful information that corresponded with the thumbnail Actual human host Couple jokes told were funny No awful music that nobody asked for. Already use prefilter socks (worked as both a carpet cleaner and a pool guy in the past) but I really like the muffler idea and I think I have everything I need to make one here in my scrap bins, including some sheets of Honeywell pre filter media for one of their big ass in-room purifiers, and I like the design of that dustopper (my guess is you pronounce it duh-stopper like a German mad scientist) gonna look those up too. Looking forward to more of your videos, again great job dude!

If you wanted to cut a straight line on the length of a 4x8' plywood, you could do it with this system? Is the track length available enough somewhere to allow that?
@HouseDoctorRay10 сағат бұрын
If you make it long enough. There is a link in the video description for an inexpensive alternative that comes apart.

I found some hose that was a little bit smaller in diameter than the inside of the new piece that I was installing. I cut it to length and fed into the new piece. It gives you more rigidity and doesn't just squish the new piece. The door seals even better now. Just a little FYI.

@HouseDoctorRay hahaha yes, I was thinking about using it on a smaller unit that I use at home for cold ashes from a pellet stove. I think on that one the normal human size will do. I never vacuum when they are still hot so it shouldn't be a fire hazard...

I take my filters outside and lay them in the grass. Then I use my gas powered ( or electric will work too)blower and blow the dust out. Keeps you from wearing the dust. Just make sure the wind is blowing away from you😁. Air compressor works too but usually you are closer to the filter and the dust coming off.

You made this look easy with your technique, well done. From my experience I have some advice to others, please use wide painters tape on the mirror first, crossed, up and down etc. Wear something with thick long sleeves, gloves and eye protection. Glass is very unforgiving when it makes contact with skin.

I don't really understand why you would go from a 20-gallon vac or so to a five-gallon bucket for the dust, seems like you will be emptying it more often.
@HouseDoctorRay4 күн бұрын
The purpose of the bucket and dustopper is to separate the dust from the air and keep your filter clean longer.

I live in the PNW where it’s always wet but rarely freezing. If we do get freezing weather here, it’s usually only for a couple of hours per day or so. I know well because ride my motorcycle all winter. How hard of a freeze does it have to be to put my pipes at risk? Also, if I want to use my new trailer during the winter (to escape trying to become a duck) do I need to flush the AF all out and then winterize it again when I get back home?
@HouseDoctorRay6 күн бұрын
Only you can answer if it will put your pipes at risk. RV manufacturers use the lowest quality materials they can obtain no matter the brand. To de-winterize, all you need to do is hook up the water and flush out the antifreeze and put the water heater plug back in.
