On cadlink you will most likely have to run all 4 whites I believe some other rips allow for only 2 whites . You could leave 2 channels with distilled water and the two whites you don’t want running empty but that may burn out the head

If you are technically savy, remove the damper manifold, fill new cartridges with distilled water, using a syringe pull the sublimation ink out through the damper until the clear water starts to come through, replace damper assmebly on to print head. do one power cleaning print color test repeat another power clean if neccesary. ................If you are not tech savy just do 4 power cleans and run a color test, repeatt power cleans as neccesary

@@sethdanenberg4978 I plan to convert it to sublimation not dtf. I really dont want the trouble of having a dtf printer this large lol! He used it for photo printing. I'm hoping to keep it simple and just insert the cartridges do a few cleanings and just start using it.

@@shunnaflowers3664 same procedure for switching to sublimation, typically 3 power cleans gets ink to the head but it will be mixed with the oem ink, 4 power cleans might do it 5 sometimes

The settings on a 48xx are somewhat similar but that is a 8 color while this is a 10 color, so there are some additional steps

What do you mean only 6 cartridges You can use as little as 6 but you should have 8 carts

check your ink order, make sure any old ink is flushed from the ink lines, it cna take up to 3 power cleans to force all old ink out, print a nozzle check

The 4900 prints faster and higher quality, however you will be replacing the capping station every 6-13 months. The 4900 is also just generally more sensitive and less reliable. I have some maintenance chips for sale if you need some

How does the nozzle check look? Are you shaking the white ink regularly or has it been sitting? 90 is very high, usually 70 is plenty. What type of ink is it

Everything looks great on nozzle check, I just had some ink that came with my printer… so it could be the ink. What do you recommend? Just got this printer and converted it last might

I am not 100% sure but I believe the 4000 can be sued with the newer version of acrorip. I do not use that software I use cadlink digital factory. Both software programs are only available for windows

Pushing is very effective for clearing tough clogs but it is highly likely it will delaminate the print head and render is garbage. Pulling is slower but safer

Do you get nozzles firing at all? Do you have the adjustment software?

@@sethdanenberg4978 Hi , before i replaced the dampers and the whole capping station everything worked fine , now when i do a cleaning i can see on nozzle test lines from every white channels not too much but after an ink charge or something similar all white missing , i installed external waste tank also and when the white is comig from tubes its like 90% air and 10% ink i dont know if this is normal

@@sethdanenberg4978 no i never waterfalled the head because on my previous printer i fried my head unfortunatelly 😆 but the nozzles are 100% its not clogged because yesterday i get a nozzlecheck 2 whites was 100 % and the other 2 white was like 70% on nozzle check , but after a clean everything missed from whites

@@printedluxe sounds like you need to manually clean the capping station and print head, then maybe do an initial fill

No it doesn't. I just figured out my mom never set the white up. So I did that and I think damper might be damaged so I ordered another one. Was just trying to make sure I'm doing stuff right. So when you rip that's telling it to print the white layer?

top menu tools options make sure show advanced settings is checked

Color order is not set to match the actual ink carts, are you using the the basic xp15000 or the v2 xp15000 in cadlink?

you will need the service program, what step are you stuck on? you'll need to use the ink charge tool. other wise youll need to do about a dozen power cleans

What did it do to make you think the decoder was burned

@@sethdanenberg4978 Ok.. so I have the continuous ink system.. one of the lines broke and leaked ink .. the printer would power on and the cartridges compartment would go back and forth just like every time I turn it on.. but then when it get to the ready position, the ink light would come on and stay solid lit. I did everything I could think of .. cleaned, wiped did manual ink printhead cleaning with a syringe pump and even replaced the cartridges but nothing worked. when I explained it to the tech..she said the ink must've gotten to the connectors and the printhead has to be replaced. I opened it last night after watching your video and BINGO! she was right .. connectors strips were soaked. I do have another identical printer which I am in the process of swapping parts and hopefully that works. will let you know how it goes though.

@@sethdanenberg4978 So, This is my second reply as an update.. like I had mentioned before .. the flexible cable connection was soaked so I replaced the whole thing with one from an identical printer I had sitting there for parts, but when I did .. the printer wouldn't even come on!! but when I put the old printhead when is supposed to be burnt.. it powers up but I get the solid red ink light. thats weird .. I swapped them a few times same results .. I was really disappointed and dont know why it wont turn on.. I put both printers aside and now I'm using my old Artisan 1430. Please let me know if you have any idea . Thank you.

@@yemarican That print is most likely no good it may have fried the main board on the printer. When you turn the printer on listen closly to the back of the printer for a very quiet beeping noise

You can realistically expect 6-9 13x19 sheets per hour If you run the fastest mode at a lower quality maybe 10 sheets 13x19 per hour

the 4900 is huge upgrade from the 3800, night and day for converted printer the 4800.4880 is still probably the best bet as it is easier to maintain but the 4900 prints faster and higher quality

You don’t need to However if you don’t flush it with cleaning fluid it will take longer for the white ink to come out clean. In hurry I’ve done it both ways

Unfortunately no, I found cadlink to be so much better I gave up on acrorip. I know some people have good experiences with it

Obvious stuff, printer cable is plugged, download OEM Epson printer driver, make sure printer is connected to computer If the printer is working with the computer but not with cadlink ***on the top let area of the menu click, Queue in the drop down menu click, Manage Queues your printer should appear in the list there next to your printer queue name, make sure the printer is selected under printer, click the drop down under "port" make sure that selection matches your printer listed in your computers printer list

Replacing pin connectors in the ink bay is relatively easy, the chip decoders also work great. For the ink, is there air in the ink line? Or does it appear as solid as the other ink lines that are flowing
