You gotta teach em how to properly fish the slide,and be the successor on said trip.steve Patterson,co-owner of 4 boats with Fred huber out of point Loma sports fishing taught me how to fish the slide,and the surface iron at age 9.my grandparents lived in misson bay,and growing up I spent endless summers there.i didn't wanna do anything but ride the daily double and point loma.grandpa hugh would drop me off to ride out with steve to the coronados for the yellowtail,or with fred on the daily double,to target the calicos in the kelp beds.also I wanna give a huge shout out to cal sheets,Carl newel,Mike lackey,Phillip brady,eric landsfield,Jimmy decker,and Benny floretino.theres alot of greats...but those a my goat candidates. I wouldn't know what I do,if it wasn't for those great pioneers in the sport.

Wait until you wrap that Seeker Ulua. I just got a SSR cut and wrapped to 9’3’ and it casts and feels amazing. I’m kinda mad I slept on Uluas for so long. 40# can cast Colt Snipers all the way to 7x’s flawlessly

Only thing I don’t like about this is casting towards a beach/people/parking lot. I know that spot at mothers beach and if you snap a line or knot that iron/lure easily making it the the houses or parking lot on the other side. I’d be fucking curious if some dude smashed me or my car with a 7x

All 6 of my 10 foot JigSticks as well as all of my JigSticks have reel seats and shaped out hypolan I hate cork or rope grips plus I don’t hafta crush my sticks mounting the reel

Actually blacklashes happen because the line is going through the guides slowerthan than the spool is spinning. You want to slow the spool with your thumb so that the line leaving can catch up to the spool spin rate.
