It took too long to get him and Double Trouble inducted. Thank goodness he/they got there. Love Stevie Ray Vaughan, always and forever. ❤ (2024)

There's been a real neglect of recordings from the last 2 years of stevie's life.....I don't know why this is. His playing had more clarity during this time due to his sobriety. Believe me there are masters of this which one day will see light of day....likely when the next generation take control of stevies estate.

Stevie was one of the few people who could say that they were close with two of the three Kings of blues. ❤

SRV was blessed, he was able to have a walk-off grand slam before passing away. How many of us will be able to say that? His time was complete, and as tragic as it seems, God's timing is always perfect. Let's not cheapen his death with wishful thinking and fairytales of what might have been. Everything comes to an end, if it didn't then we wouldn't care. ❤

I was at that show that night. The fog was like nothing I had ever seen before. It was like a flat ceiling, like in your home. It was foggy all night. They never should have been flying.

I was there with friends in the 10th row. Wow. We sat in the field after the show waiting for traffic to lighten up. We saw the helicopters take off and heard the tragic news driving back to chicago.

Jimmie Vaughan should not be that inferior too, he is absolute unique guitar player of his own too.

I was working at a major Chicago record store and didn't get to go that last show. People were literally in tears on the phone asking when the Family Style album would be available and asked me to hold copies for them. My boss gave me an advance copy on cassette. I try to play some of SRV's music on guitar and honestly, I'm in awe of his ability and miss him so much. The world lost a legend.
