doesn't get any better than this. RIP Stevie. You will never be forgotten!

His show in Nov 89 in Toronto with Jeff Beck and Jeff Healy is still to this day THE BEST CONCERT I EVER SAW

Still blows my mind that Jimmie cut this from the DVD. Even crazier that none of Stevie's shows have gotten a Blu Ray release

A massive oversight to cut this from the dvd....I do think there is rivalry between Jimmie and Stevie that continues to this day...Stevie’s posthumous career hasn’t been as incredible as it could have been. A very small selection of releases bizarrely nothing from his last year...which is widely thought to have been his best. I’d love an instep era live album...but Jimmie clearly doesn’t rate it as he only releases the same live stuff from earlier on.

@@chrisgorman9967 I haven't put a lot of thought into the rivalry thing. They had mostly put that behind them when they did their album together. And Jimmie's speech at the RRHOF induction about Stevie helping him get clean makes me think all is well, even today. I honestly think most of it is because of how poorly run Hendrix's estate is. I don't think Jimmie wants to turn Stevie's afterlife into a pure cashcow that releases anything and everything. Stevie's best year was definitely his last year. Everything from his tone, playing and singing were at an all time high. My favorite bootlegs are from the summer months of 1990 as well. And I'll leave you with this. I truly believe both Alpine Valley shows were professionally videotaped. But for obvious reasons, both Jimmie and Clapton don't want to review any of the footage. The In Step era should have a ton of stuff released from it!

@@csi2448 I’m not an expert on it either but the SRV estate seems to have gone in the opposite direction to Hendrix. Every time I see a new SRV release I’m always massively disappointed it’s nothing from his last year.

He always made everything look so easy. You're watching him do shit no other human being on the planet can do, and it looks like he's just playin' around a bit.

Stevie is soaked in coke sweat, the band is dry as a bone, even in his early unsober career, the man prioves hes better than jimmy, a brother in arms, with only an axe to fight hatred and insipre love through beauty. My man.

May I ask where this footage came from? It’s not on my dvd or vhs. Was it released on video in full in Canada or something?
