I love all of these borders. I also love how you suggest to work out of the box. If something doesn't work, play with it. I would like suggestions on joining the granny squares together after adding the borders. You do such gorgeous work. Have you always wanted to be a teacher? ☮️🌎🌲
@PlayHookywithMe6 ай бұрын
Hi Jennie - these are just added to granny squares to show how to work the borders . They aren’t intended for adding only to granny squares. Like I mentioned in the beginning of the video , it was just a way to save time. These borders are intended for the finishing touch to any project - shawls, clothing, blankets etc. 👍🏻💕 I love teaching , yes. But all kinds of things. My background is in illustration and I usually illustrated instructions. Then during covid , I was crocheting a lot and would use KZbin to help me learn how to crochet or knit. I wanted to contribute so that’s how the channel began. I was going to teach how to draw but I was so obsessed with crochet that it just sort of happened this way 😂😂😂❤️
@jennierollins87896 ай бұрын
Well, you are very good at it. I would have thought you had crocheted your whole life. I really wanted to join the granny squares together because they look so beautiful. I think the illustration and design are very close. ♥️♥️♥️

Beautiful borders, I just can’t fudge it if i can easily see the mistake though I need to use something that will work for the stitch count I have.
@lindacopeland49695 ай бұрын
I love your stitches! They are so clear to see. I’ve asked you before what yarn you use and stated knit picks. I use red heart which is ok but it is difficult at times to see the stitches clearly because it’s fuzzy. I’m so happy you showed a “cheat” along the way and honestly you really can’t tell. Thx for all you do for us. It’s greatly appreciated
@PlayHookywithMe5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much, Linda! Yes, the cottons show great stitch definition. It's just hit or miss on finding brands that are soft enough. The Knit Picks one and the Hobby Lobby one have been my favorites so far but I''m going to try Paintbox yarn from Lovecrafts soon xx

Hi Roz - this is so REALLY helpful thank you. I am nearing the end of the Daisy Granny Square Blanket and was wondering about a border. There are 3 that you showed that I like very much. The Shell Scallop Border, Lacey Border and the Pico Stitch. Thanks for a very interesting and informative video. By the way, quick question, would you use the same size hook for the border as you do for the blanket? Cheers Linda x
@PlayHookywithMe6 ай бұрын
Great ! I would start with the same size hook and see how it looks. If you feel it’s looking too tight then go up a hook size. If it’s looking too wavy , then go down a hook size. But the one you’re using already should be fine 👍🏻💕
